The Macklind Mile Story

• Course Type: The Macklind Mile is more than just getting outside…you can run fast or stroll slow…you can race to compete or move to complete.
• Post-Race Activities: There will be music, food and activities following the short one mile course which makes it perfect for hanging out in the streets of South City St Louis with other kids and kids-at-heart.
• Stay Connected: Keep in touch with us on our Facebook page.

First-Time Participants

• Inclusive Distance: If this is your first time at the Macklind Mile, know this: it’s a one mile distance that everyone can do regardless of running or walking.
• Post-Race Party: The post-race party is just as important as the distance covered!
• Compete or Stroll: You can come to run the downhill, one mile course to try and set a personal record, or you can walk it with your family pet.
• Finish Line Fun: Either way you’re partying at the finish line!

2025 Highlights

• Championship Host: In 2025, the Macklind Mile will play host to the RRCA Central Region Championships!
• Event Continuity: We look forward to continuing to host their great events.

Elite Runners

• Prize Purse: A prize purse of up to $3700 will be on the table for Elite Events!
