🏃♂️ Event Overview
Come join us on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 760 Orphanage Road, Concord, NC for this great inclusive event for people of ALL ABILITIES! Let’s Get Moving for a great event and get all bodies in motion. Proceeds support the work of KennedyStrong Foundation. Event is RAIN or SHINE.
📅 Registration Information
- Deadline: Register by Friday, September 5th to be guaranteed a shirt. All supplies after this date are first come, first serve.
- Packet Pickup: Race Day Packet Pickup opens at 8:00am.
- Event Times: Join us from 8a.m. to noon. There will be a DJ and activities for all.
- Schedule:
- 8:00 a.m. - event site opens
- 9:00 a.m. - Buddy Run starts
- 9:30 a.m. - 5K starts
- 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. - Decathlon Activity Adventure course open as an alternative to the run/walk events
- Virtual 5K for those who cannot attend in person but want to participate where they are
🏆 Awards and Medals
There will be 5K awards given to overall top 3 male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 10 & under, 11-15, 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, and 71 and up. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the Decathlon. Awards will be given to the top three male and female Fun Run finishers.
- Finisher Medals: 5K participants will receive finisher medals!
- Race Pack: 5K runners and Decathlon participants will receive a bag, shirt, and giveaway items.
- Virtual Runners: Virtual Runners will not be eligible for awards.
🚗 Parking and Accessibility
- Packet Pickup: Thursday, September 18th at the West Cabarrus YMCA in Afton Village from 6pm to 8pm. See Packet Pick Up section below.
- Parking: This is a 'shuttle to destination' event. Those with special needs can receive a parking pass at packet pickup.
