LET’S GET MOVING EVENT & 5K (3rd Annual)

Come join us on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Vietnam Veterans Park in Concord, NC for this great inclusive event for people of ALL ABILITIES! Let’s Get Moving for a great event and get all bodies in motion. Proceeds support the work of KennedyStrong Foundation. Event is RAIN or SHINE.

🆕 What's New in 2025

• Voting Contest: A community-driven contest where participants can choose their favorite T-shirt design this year.
• Commemorative Bib: Exciting bib for all 5K participants.

🗓️ Registration Details

• Deadline: Register by Friday, September 6th to be guaranteed a shirt. All supplies after this date are first come first serve.
• Packet Pickup: Race Day Packet Pickup opens at 8:00am.
• Event Hours: Join us from 8a.m. to noon with a DJ and activities for all.

🕘 Race Schedule

• 8:00 a.m.: Event site opens.
• 9:00 a.m.: Buddy Run starts.
• 9:30 a.m.: 5K starts.
• 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.: Decathlon Activity Adventure course open as an alternative to the run/walk events.
• Virtual 5K: For those who cannot attend in person but want to participate where they are.

🏆 Awards

There will be 5K awards given to overall top 3 male and female and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 10 & under, 11-15, 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61 -70, and 71 and up. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the Decathlon and for each Decathlon Station. Awards will also be given to the top three male and female Fun Run finishers.

5K runners and Decathlon participants will receive a bag, shirt, and giveaway items. Note that Virtual Runners will not be eligible for awards.

📍 Packet Pickup

Packet Pick Up will occur on Thursday, September 18th at the West Cabarrus YMCA in Afton Village from 6pm to 8pm. See Packet Pick Up section below.

🚗 Parking Information

This is a 'shuttle to destination' event. Those with special needs can receive a parking pass at packet pickup.
