Race Details
- Description: American Legion Dyer-Gunnell Post 180 is honored and excited to host our 6th annual Celebrate America 5K patriotic community event held the weekend before Independence Day!
- Course: A 1.55-mile out-and-back route along Center Street North and the W&OD Trail, with a water station and turnaround point at Clarks Crossing Park.
- Start Time: Packet pick-up starts at 6:30 am, with opening remarks at 7:30 am, and the race immediately afterward.
- Parking: Available onsite, with access via the second entrance to avoid driving through the festival area.
Registration Information
- Fees: $40 online until Thursday, June 25 at 8:00 pm.
- Onsite Registration: $45 on Friday, June 26 and race day, June 27.
- Online Registration: Will remain open through race morning, and all registrations must be done online.
- Commemorative Items: All registrants will receive a Be The One commemorative coin, technical shirt, and a reusable tote bag with patriotic SWAG and local business coupons.
Awards
- Categories: Top three male and female finishers will receive awards.
- All Registrants: Will receive a commemorative coin, technical shirt, and tote bag with promotional items.
- Goal: Bring the community together on America's birthday and reinforce commitment to military veterans.
- Post Race Tour: Tour our Post home, which is the location of a Civil War star fort.
