Join Us for the 6th Annual Canines Against Cancer Fundraiser! Hosted by Each Moment We're Alive (EMWA)

We’re excited to welcome you to our 6th Annual Canines Against Cancer Fundraiser on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5:00–9:00 PM at the Morgan Road Pavilion (behind the Irish Cultural Center of Western Massachusetts).

All proceeds from this event support EMWA’s free programs and resources for cancer survivors and their families, helping them move beyond diagnosis and treatment to reclaim their lives. EMWA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors after treatment ends—a time when many feel physically depleted, emotionally overwhelmed, and unsure of how to move forward. While other organizations focus on research and care during treatment, EMWA fills a critical gap in the healing journey.

👟 How To Participate

• In-Person or Virtual: The world is your [dog’s] oyster! Whether you join us in person or choose your own walking route, your participation matters!
• Hybrid Model: Since our first virtual walk in 2020, we’ve embraced a hybrid model, so you can walk wherever you are.
• Bring Your Dog: A furry friend is welcome but not required.
• Share Your Experience: Don’t forget to snap photos and videos along the way and share them on social media using #CaninesFurCancer.

3. Choose your event (Choose which Registration $ you want) - Continue
4. READ WAIVER... Check waiver agreement box. Click ACCEPT (This must be clicked to continue) - Continue
5. Select a fundraiser animal if you choose to add a donation towards their fundraising efforts (not necessary to continue)
   • Custom Amount: This allows you to donate an additional amount beyond your registration fees (not required).
   • Choose: "On Behalf of"/"In Support of"/"In Memory of"
   • Name: Choose "My Name, Anonymous or OTHER (Enter name) - Continue
6. Complete registration / enter payment method. Submit

Kick off summer with this free, fun-filled family event while supporting an important cause.

• Relaxing Stroll: Enjoy a stroll on the trail and collect inspirational rocks along the way.
• Family Fun: Engage in children’s crafts, playground activities, horseshoes, cornhole, and more.
• Delicious Food: Purchase hot dogs, hamburgers, and ice cream, and enjoy drinks including craft beer, wine, and cocktails.
• Live Music: Dance and sing along to live music by CO-2.

❓ FAQs

• Can I participate if I don’t have Cancer or I’m not a Cancer Survivor?
  • ABSOLUTELY, ALL ARE WELCOME, you don’t have to have cancer or be a cancer survivor to participate.
• Can I participate without a canine?
  • Of course! Everyone is welcome, with or without a canine companion.
• Can I participate if I don’t live in Western MA?
  • Yes!!! Participate no matter where you are: just register at www.caninesagainstcancer.org.
• Do I have to fundraise?
  • No obligation to fundraise, though it helps and is easy. Fundraise through your contacts!
• How can I sponsor your event?
  • For sponsorship levels and details, please contact Cindy at www.cindy@eachmomentwerealive.org.
• Are donations tax deductible?
  • Yes, all donations are tax deductible as EMWA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
