LivFree Seaside Sea Hag 5k & 1 Mile Health Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

LivFree is happy to announce a new partnership and title sponsor in New England Brewing Company, as well as a new location for our annual fall 5k, picturesque (and flat) Seaside Park, in Bridgeport, CT.

So, without further adieu - we are proud to introduce the LivFree Seaside Sea Hag 5k on Sunday October 12th at 9am. Proceeds from the event will go to LivFree, who provides hope and joy to kids and families in the childhood cancer community. The event features a USATF certified 5k course that runs through roads and pathways of Seaside Park along the coast of the Long Island Sound. Runners and walkers are welcome of all abilities (leashed and controlled dogs, as well as strollers are welcome too).

🎉 Post-Race Celebration

This year we are still throwing our Post-Race Party at finish line.

• Age Requirement: Registered runners who are 21 years of age or older will be issued two drink tickets at packet pickup to be redeemed at the beer tents for 2 drinks.
• Food Options: Food vendors will be available too, as well as music and fun.

🗓️ Registration Categories

There are 2 Different Events, each with 3 Registration Options available:

🏅 For the 5k Timed Race

• Adult 5k Registration: Age on race day - 21 years of age or older. $35 early bird registration ($40 from July 1-August 31st, $45 from September 1-race day).
• Youth/Young Adult 5k Registration: Age on race day - 21 years of age or younger. $30 early bird registration ($35 from July 1-August 31st, $40 from September 1-race day).
• All Ages 5k Fundraising Registrant: All ages can register. NO REGISTRATION FEE, but you will make a commitment to raise a minimum of $50 by race day (October 12th).
• Note: Credit card information will be taken at checkout and your credit card will be charged on Monday, October 15th for the funds that are short of the fundraising minimum ($50).

🚶‍♀️ For the Untimed 1 Mile Health Walk

• Adult Registration: Age on race day - 21 years of age or older. $35 early bird registration ($40 from July 1-August 31st, $45 from September 1-race day).

⏰ Schedule of Events

• 7:30am: Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup Opens.
• 8:45am: All Participants Report to Starting Line (Runners up front, walkers in the rear).
• 9:00am: Scheduled Race Start.
• 9:30am: Post-5k Events Begin: New England Brewing Company Post-Race Party opens for registered participants.
• 12:00pm: End of Post Race Party.

🔔 Final Notes

• Course: The course is stroller friendly, as well as dog friendly (but dogs must be on short leash at all times).
• Communication: As the day of the event approaches course maps, race day procedures, and more details will be sent out via email.
