11th Annual Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k, Durham NC

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us and celebrate World Ostomy Day and the 11th Annual Run For Resilience Ostomy 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, October 4th, 2025 on the scenic American Tobacco Trail in Durham, NC.

• Location: The start/finish line will be held on the grassy knoll area in front of Haverty's Furniture at 8160 Renaissance Parkway Durham, NC.
• Course: The race will take you from the start/finish area on to the American Tobacco Trail north, crossing over I-40 with the turn around near the Crooked Creek Trailhead on the ATT.
• Certification: This is an out and back course that is certified by the USATF.
• Features: This is a family-friendly event with a DJ, kids dash, kids activities, and a fantastic silent auction with local sports tickets and memorabilia, restaurant gift cards, crafts, gift baskets, etc.

• 9:00 a.m. Kids 50 Meter Dash (Ages 2 - 8)
• 9:15 a.m. Awards Ceremony

✨ Registration Information

The Registration Fee of $38.00 and $25.00 for the Kid's 50-Meter Dash includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt and Bib. So don't delay, register today to order the T-Shirt size you’d like to wear at the event.

🏁 Race Course

This 5k Fun Run and Kids 50-Meter Dash will be held on the AMERICAN TOBACCO TRAIL located at 8160 RENAISSANCE PARKWAY, DURHAM, NC. The exact route map will be included in your registration packets.

🏆 Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female Overall Finishers, top M/F in each age group, as well as to the top Male and Female Ostomates.

🎒 Optional Ostomy Pouch

Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch provided by one or more of our sponsors. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on a pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.

👥 Create or Join a Race Group/Team

Once you’ve registered you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you!
