Join us for the 2nd Annual Downers Grove, IL Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k Fun Run and Walk on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in celebration of World Ostomy Day.

• Location: Byram Healthcare, Downers Grove, IL
• Event: Family friendly 5k Fun Run and Walk
• Kids Run: 50-yard dash included!

⏰ Race Day Schedule

• 9:00 am to 9:45 am: Same day registration and packet pick-up
• 10:00 am: 5k Run/Walk/Roll STARTS
• 11:00 am: Kids Run (50-yard Dash)
• 11:30 am: Awards Ceremony

📅 Registration

• Early Bird Pricing: Available through July 25th
• Registration Fee: $30.00 for Adults, $20.00 for Kids Run
• Includes: Unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt and Bib
• Note: Maximum of 100 participants for safety

🗺️ The Course

This fun run/walk/roll will be held on an approximately one-mile looped course from the Byram Healthcare building on Woodcreek Drive. The route will proceed along Birchwood Place to Lacey Rd to Woodcreek Drive and back to the Byram building. Course maps are available online and will be posted at the registration desk.

🚗 Parking

There is ample free parking at the Byram Healthcare office.

• All Finishers: Participant awards for all
• Overall Finishers: Medals for top three male and female 5k finishers
• Ostomate Category: Medals for top three 5k finishers
• Kids Run: Awards for top three finishers

🍽️ Refreshments

We will have a variety of refreshments for you to enjoy after the race!

👥 Create or Join a Team

Once you’ve registered you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other.

💰 Fundraising

Raise $150 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded! Fundraising is essential for our event, with proceeds helping UOAA continue its mission of support and advocacy for the ostomy community.
