Welcome to our 9th Annual Superhero 5K/1K at the Lilburn City Park.
🎉 Featuring:
- Superhero costume contest: Join us in your best superhero attire!
- Goody bag: Every participant receives a special goody bag.
- Free t-shirt: Walk or run in style with a complimentary event t-shirt.
- Giveaways: Exciting prizes throughout the event!
- Zumba special after race: Enjoy a fun Zumba session following the race!
🏆 Awards:
- Trophies: For top overall male & female finishers.
- Medals: For the top 3 finishers in specific age groups: 7-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-75, 80-85, 85-99.
⏰ Race Day Times:
- Packet pick-up: 7:00 am
- Zumba warmup: 7:50 am
- 5K run/walk: 8:00 am
- 1K run/walk: 8:15 am

Mending The Gap Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a unique mission: Keeping seniors healthy, independent, and connected.
Our vision is to provide personalized, one-on-one support to struggling seniors, by making vital resources accessible and promoting long-term self-sufficiency. We do this through:
- Nutritious food: Delivery of food, household essentials, personal care items, and pet food to at least 700 seniors monthly.
- Community engagement: Initiatives to reduce loneliness and isolation.
- Technology education: Helping seniors thrive in a digital world.
- Intergenerational connection: Inspiring youth to uplift and support the elderly.
- Home assistance: Help with minor home repairs and cleaning services.
Our mission goes beyond meeting immediate needs. We aim to nurture long-term well-being, reduce social isolation, and foster meaningful relationships that empower seniors to age with dignity and purpose.
