Welcome to our 8th Annual Superhero 5K/1K at the Lilburn City Park.
🦸 Featuring:
- Superhero costume contest: Join in the fun and show off your superhero spirit!
- Goody bag: Each participant will receive a special goody bag.
- Free t-shirt: Participants will be provided with a complimentary t-shirt.
- Giveaways: Exciting prizes to be won during the event!
- Zumba special: Enjoy a Zumba session after the race!
🏆 Awards:
- Trophies: Awarded for top overall male & female finishers.
- Medals: Given to top 3 finishers in age groups: 7-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99.
🕖 Race Day Times:
- Packet pick-up: 7:00 am
- Zumba warmup: 7:50 am
- 5K run/walk: 8:00 am
- 1K run/walk: 8:30 am
New Race! Veteran Mile - 9:00 am- 1 mile around the field in honor of our elderly veterans.

Mending The Gap Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a unique mission: Keeping seniors healthy, independent, and connected.
Our vision is to provide personalized, one-on-one support struggling seniors including veterans, by making vital resources accessible and promoting long-term self-sufficiency. We do this through:
- Nutritious food: Delivery of household essentials and personal care items.
- Community engagement: Helping to reduce loneliness and isolation.
- Technology education: Empowering seniors to thrive in a digital world.
- Intergenerational connection: Inspiring youth to uplift and support the elderly.
Our mission goes beyond meeting immediate needs. We aim to nurture long-term well-being, reduce social isolation, and foster meaningful relationships that empower seniors to age with dignity and purpose.
