About Our Cause

• Prostate Cancer Awareness: Prostate cancer is the most common major cancer in American men today.
• Impact: One in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
• Date: This event takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
• Collaborators: Organized by Forsyth Area Striders Team (F.A.S.T.) and the Prostate Condition Education Council (PCEC).

Event Details and Schedule

• Course Description: The race features a half-mile downhill start and finish for both 5K and 10K courses.
• Chip-Timed: Both courses are chip-timed, point-to-point runs with overall elevation drop to finish.

• T-Shirts: Advanced technical fiber t-shirts available for early registrations by October 15.

Costs

• 5K Registration: $25 until 8/22, escalating to $35 through race day.
• 10K Registration: $25 until 8/22, escalating to $35 through race day.
• Team Discount: Teams of 4 or more receive a $3 discount per member at checkout.

Parking

• Location: Parking available at Cumming Fair Grounds Gate B or Lot 1.
• Facilities: Restrooms attached to the arena will be accessible on race day.

Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: Friday, October 23 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Arena Barn.
• Race Day Pickup: Saturday, October 24 from 6:30am to 7:45am.

Start Line Transportation

• Distance: The start line is approximately one mile from the fairgrounds.
• Shuttle Service: Buses available from 7:00 am - 7:45 am for transport to start line.
• Alternative: Participants can walk/run to the start via sidewalks.

Post Race Events

• Location: Post-race amenities will be available near the covered castleberry foot bridge.
• Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in several categories.
• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive finishing medals.
• 1 Mile Fun Run: This event will stay within the fairgrounds.

Information on the PACE Race Series

• Purpose: The series educates on prostate cancer and advocates for a healthy lifestyle.
• History: The PACE series began in 2002 and has reached millions of men across the country.
• Celebrity Runners: Features teams including famous marathoners such as Bill Rodgers.

Directions

• Starting Point: Located at Buford Hwy/GA-20 W at GA-400 Exit 14.
• Directions to Fairgrounds: Follow specified sequential turn-by-turn instructions.

Arrival Guidelines

• Be Early: Arrive early for shuttle service to the start line.
• Start Time: 5k and 10k begin promptly at 8:00 am.
• Walking Routes: Maps available showing multiple walking routes to start line.

Bag Check

• Service: Provided at the start line for warm-up clothing and jackets.
• Transport: Items will be transported back to the Arena Barn at fairgrounds.
