Cherokee Recreation and Parks will host the 3rd Annual Live Like Laken 5K Run/Walk on October 24, 2026, at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, GA.
Purpose of the Event
- Goal: To raise money for The Laken Hope Foundation, Inc.
- Support: Funding organizations that promote safety awareness for women.
- Aid: Providing tuition assistance for nursing students and healthcare for children.

- Background: Laken was a student at Augusta University studying to become a nurse.
- Legacy: The foundation aims to promote safety awareness for women.
- Tragedy: Laken’s untimely death was avoidable and tragic.
