• Type: Loop course
• Location: Cherokee Boulevard
• Start/Finish: At the west parking lot

📦 Packet Pick Up

• Early Pickup: Wednesday, April 29, 5 pm-7 pm at Runner’s Market in Bearden
• Race Day: 6:15 am - 7:45 am

💲 Registration & Entry Fee

• Early Bird Pricing: $25 until January 31
• Regular Registration: $30 (Feb 1 - Apr 8)
• Late Registration: $35 (Apr 9 - Apr 26)
• Race Day: $40, $25 for ages 17 and under until April 15

👕 T-shirts

• Type: Unisex sized t-shirts for registrants
• Distribution: Pre-registered runners will receive shirts at early packet pick or on race day
• Policy: Registrations after April 21 receive shirts while supplies last
• Plant a Tree Option: Choose 'No Tee, Plant a Tree' to support local tree planting

Awards

• Categories: Top 3 Overall, age groups, and specialty categories
• Masters: Fastest person age 40 and above
• Grandmasters: Fastest person age 50 and above
• Senior Grandmasters: Fastest person age 60 and above

🏅 Grand Prix Points Team Competition

• Competition: Part of the 2026 Team Competition schedule
• Points: Awarded in various categories and age groups
• Recognition: Top 10 men and women recognized in New Year’s Day 5K
• Requirements: Must be a KTC member and volunteer for at least 3 races

🍏 Post Race Refreshments

• Details: Assorted refreshments provided post race in the event tent

🚫 Race Etiquette

• Prohibited Items: Roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs
• Course Closure: 5K course closes in 1 hour and 15 minutes
• Headphones: KTC discourages their use at events
