• Location: Morgan Road Pavilion, 429 Morgan Road, West Springfield, MA 01089 (behind the Irish Cultural Center of Western Massachusetts)

❤️ About the Event

This fun-filled, family-friendly evening brings our community together to support cancer survivors during one of the most vulnerable times—after treatments end.

💰 Registration and Fundraising

• Registration Fee: $15 tax deductible donation which includes a meal voucher for a freshly grilled hamburger or hot dog.
• Exclusive T-shirt: Raise $75 or more to receive a 2025 Canines Against Cancer event t-shirt.

🚶‍♀️ Event Activities

We begin with a relaxing stroll on the trail and collect inspirational painted rocks along the way. The ½ mile walk is to remember.A beautiful memory wall is displayed at the pavilion to remember loved ones.

There’s fun for the whole family with a kids’ craft table, playground, horseshoes, cornhole, and other family-friendly activities. Try your luck at our many games including horseshoes, cornhole, dog races (sponsors) & the famous Wine Ring Toss—if you ring a bottle, it’s yours to take home! The kids corner will also feature a chance to win a raffle basket in honor of “Magic for Maddie”.

Additional hamburgers & hotdogs will be available for purchase—all provided by the generosity of the Beavers Club of Western Mass. Quench your thirst with craft beer, wine, seltzers, lemonade, water, or a refreshing specialty cocktail. Be sure to capture special moments snapping photos and dance and sing along to live music by CO-2.

Stop by our merchandise table to purchase commemorative t-shirts and fundraiser gear to support our 2025 event. And don’t miss out on our many exciting raffle prizes—there’s something for everyone!

🚶‍♂️ How To Participate

The world is your [dog’s] oyster! Whether you join us in person or choose your own walking route, your participation matters! Since our first virtual walk in 2020, we’ve embraced a hybrid model, so you can walk wherever you are. Bring your dog (or not—furry friends are welcome but not required), gather your loved ones, and be part of a meaningful movement.

📸 Don’t forget to snap photos and videos of all the smiles and sniffs along the way and share them on social media using #CaninesAgainstCancer. Take action. Walk with purpose. Support survivors.

Participation In Person:

1. Sign Up Button on Top of Page
2. Enter your information
3. Choose Canines Against Cancer Participant ($15 Donation)
4. READ WAIVER.... Check waiver agreement box. Click ACCEPT (This must be clicked to continue) →
5. Select Voucher good for 1 burger or dog →
6. Select a fundraiser animal if you choose to add an additional donation towards their fundraising efforts (not necessary to continue)
   • Custom Amount is to donate an additional amount in addition to your registration fees. (not required)
   • Choose "On Behalf of"/"In Support of"/"In Memory of"
   • Choose "My Name, Anonymous or OTHER (Enter name) →

The benefit of our Hybrid Canines Against Cancer Support Walk is that you can participate no matter where you are: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Michigan, Indiana, anywhere across the country or the globe. Form a team and set a time and place to walk.

• Can I participate if I don’t have Cancer or I’m not a Cancer Survivor?
  • ABSOLUTELY, ALL ARE WELCOME, you don’t have to have cancer or be a cancer survivor to participate in our Canines Fur Cancer Support Walk.
• Can I participate without a canine?
  • Of course! Canines Against Cancer welcomes all human walkers, with or without a canine companion. There will be plenty of cute canines “begging” for your attention. Because canines are cute, canines need/love walks, walking is great exercise, walking with others is even greater & walking with canines for a cause is super great.
• Can I participate if I don’t live in Western MA?
  • Yes!!! The benefit of our Hybrid Canines Against Cancer Support Walk is, that you can participate no matter where you are: Massachusetts, New England, Connecticut, New York, across the country or across the globe.
• Do I have to fundraise?
  • You’re not obligated to fundraise for our Canines Against Cancer Support Walk though it helps & it’s easy.
  • Each participant who raises $75 or more will receive a 2025 event t-shirt. Our fundraisers support our survivors. Humans can register themselves or join a team & fundraise through your contacts via text, email, distribute event signs & social media: Facebook & Messenger, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube & so on & so on & so on…
• How can I sponsor your event?
  • There are several Canines Against Cancer Support Walk sponsorship levels, for details please contact Cindy at www.cindy@eachmomentwerealive.org.
• Are donations tax deductible?
  • Each Moment We’re Alive is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization & all donations are tax deductible.
