We’re excited to welcome you to our 6th Annual Canines Against Cancer Fundraiser on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5:30–9:00 PM at the Morgan Road Pavilion, 429 Morgan Road, West Springfield, MA 01089 (behind the Irish Cultural Center of Western Massachusetts).

🌟 Why Participate?

• Community Support: This fun-filled, family-friendly evening brings our community together to support cancer survivors during one of the most vulnerable times—after treatments end.
• Registration: Register with a $15 tax deductible donation and receive a meal voucher good for a freshly grilled hamburger or hot dog—served hot off the grill during the event!
• Exclusive Merchandise: Raise $75 or more, and you’ll also receive an exclusive 2025 Canines Against Cancer event t-shirt as a thank-you for your support.
• Family Activities: Enjoy a kids’ craft table, playground, horseshoes, cornhole, and other family-friendly activities.

🚶‍♂️ Walk and Activities

We begin with a relaxing stroll on the trail and collect inspirational painted rocks along the way. The ½ mile walk is to remember loved ones. There’s fun for the whole family with a kids’ craft table, playground, horseshoes, cornhole, and other family-friendly activities. Try your luck at our many games including horseshoes, cornhole, dog races (sponsors) & the famous Wine Ring Toss—if you ring a bottle, it’s yours to take home!

The kids corner will also feature a chance to win a raffle basket in honor of "Magic for Maddie".

🍔 Food and Refreshments

• Meals: Additional hamburgers & hotdogs will be available for purchase—all provided by the generosity of the Beavers Club of Western Mass.
• Beverages: Quench your thirst with craft beer, wine, seltzers, lemonade, water, or a refreshing specialty cocktail.
• Entertainment: Capture special moments snapping photos and dance and sing along to live music by CO-2.
• Merchandise: Stop by our merchandise table to purchase commemorative t-shirts and fundraiser gear to support our 2025 event.

📸 How To Participate

The world is your [dog’s] oyster! Whether you join us in person or choose your own walking route, your participation matters! Since our first virtual walk in 2020, we’ve embraced a hybrid model, so you can walk wherever you are. Bring your dog (or not—furry friends are welcome but not required), gather your loved ones, and be part of a meaningful movement.

Don’t forget to snap photos and videos of all the smiles and sniffs along the way and share them on social media using #CaninesAgainstCancer. Take action. Walk with purpose. Support survivors.

In-Person Participation:

1. Sign Up Button on Top of Page
2. Enter your information
3. Choose: Canines Against Cancer Participant ($15 Donation)
4. Read Waiver: Check waiver agreement box. Click ACCEPT (This must be clicked to continue).
5. Voucher: Select Voucher good for 1 burger or dog.
6. Fundraising: Option to set up a fundraiser or make an additional donation.

Global Participation:

The benefit of our Hybrid Canines Against Cancer Support Walk is that you can participate no matter where you are: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Michigan, Indiana and anywhere across the country or across the globe. Form a team and set a time and place to walk.

❓ FAQs

• Can I participate if I don’t have Cancer or I’m not a Cancer Survivor?
  • ABSOLUTELY, ALL ARE WELCOME, you don’t have to have cancer or be a cancer survivor to participate in our Canines Fur Cancer Support Walk.
• Can I participate without a canine?
  • Of course! Canines Against Cancer welcomes all human walkers, with or without a canine companion.
• Can I participate if I don’t live in Western MA?
  • Yes!!! You can participate no matter where you are: Massachusetts, New England, Connecticut, New York, across the country or across the globe.
• Do I have to fundraise?
  • You’re not obligated to fundraise for our Canines Against Cancer Support Walk though it helps and it’s easy.
  • Each participant who raises $75 or more will receive a 2025 event t-shirt.
• How can I sponsor your event?
  • There are several Canines Against Cancer Support Walk sponsorship levels, for details please contact Cindy at www.cindy@eachmomentwerealive.org.
• Are donations tax deductible?
  • Each Moment We’re Alive is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization & all donations are tax deductible.
