🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force 13th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Awareness and Suicide Prevention returns to the College of Lake County on Saturday, September 27, 2025. We are excited anticipating the connections with all who join us either in person or online. Over the last several years we have had walkers/runners from many different States, walking independently from wherever they are, and last year we had our record number of participants! Your support is meaningful and helps us provide training and support to all the members of our community of Lake County.

• Registration: Starts at 9:00 AM in person at the College of Lake County.
• Welcome & Kickoff: Begins at 10:00 AM, also hosted on Facebook Live.
• Share Your Moments: Feel free to share any videos and photos of the event.

📝 Registration and Pricing

This registration fee includes an event t-shirt and resource fair bag, with local resources from organizations throughout Lake County. If you are unable to walk or would like to donate to the event, you can do so by clicking donations tab above, or as part of your registration.

• Adults: $30
• Children: $10 for ages 5 to 12 years old
• Free: Kids 4 and under
• Teams: $25 each for teams of 5 or more with a group leader creating the team.

📦 T-shirt and Resource Bag Pick-up

We will be hosting a drive-thru event so you can pick up your walk t-shirts and resource bags in advance. T-shirts will also be available for pickup on the day of the Walk/Run event, Sept. 27. Future emails will be sent out to registrants with more information.

• Note: T-shirts will be ordered starting the week of 8/23/2025. Registrations placed after that date are not guaranteed to have t-shirts available.

All proceeds go to the Lake County Suicide Prevention Task Force and support our mission to prevent suicide and promote mental health awareness in Lake County through outreach events, professional training, and community education, because one suicide is too many.
