Race Objective
- Eat a slice: Enjoy a delicious slice of Need Pizza.
- Run: Complete a 1/2 mile run.
- Drink: Enjoy a pint of Field Day beer.
- Finish: Run another 1/2 mile to the finish line!
Family-Friendly Fun
This family-friendly pizza and beer 1-mile race is put on by the PR Foundation. The PR Foundation created this charitable sports run to support the community of the greater Cedar Rapids area.
Event Organization
- Founders: The PR Foundation was founded by Robert Kabakoff and "Panini" Pete Blohme.
- Community Focus: They believe funds raised can be utilized in the community wherever support is needed.
- Leadership: Bob Wagner, a PR Foundation board member and Need Pizza co-owner, along with Meg McMullen, PR Foundation board member, are leading the event organization.
- Alternative Options: N/A beer will be available for racers and fruited water for the kid's race.
