About the Race

Come join us on Thanksgiving morning for our 13th annual Thanksgiving Day race! Run For Pie has become one of Santa Cruz County's favorite holiday traditions. Bring the whole family (or your pet turkey) out to run or walk a 5K. Run for Pie also includes a 1/2 mile Turkey Chase Race for kids. All participants get a slice of pumpkin pie at the finish. This event will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Soquel High School Track Team. With the high demand for this race every year, we have decided to cap registrations, so be sure to register your friends and family before our race sells out!

Kids 1/2 Mile

• Proceeds: All proceeds from this race will go to Second Harvest Food Bank.
• Goal: We are hoping to donate over 12,000 meals this year!

Registration Process

How to register for the Pie Mile Relay: The relay will consist of 4 individuals and each individual will need to register. When you are registering for this specific race, place your first name and next to your last name place your team name. This way we can keep track of full teams.

Packet Pick Up

For a smoother and more enjoyable Thanksgiving morning, we strongly recommend picking up your race bib and shirt ahead of time. Here are the available dates and times for packet pickup:

• Tuesday, November 25th: (Fleet Feet Aptos): 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
• Wednesday, November 26th: (Fleet Feet Aptos): 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
• RACE MORNING: Thursday, November 27th (Soquel High School): 7:40 am - 8:20 am

Race Start Times

• Kids 1/2 Mile: 8:35 am
• 5k Start Time: 9:05 am
• Pie Mile Relay Start Time: 10:15 am

Pricing Update

Why the random price? Due to the new California Price Transparency Act, we are required to show the price with processing fees added. The price that it is displaying is the $45 + processing fee. Awards

All races will be professionally chip timed, and awards will be given to the overall male and female winner for the 5K race. The first female and male winner will receive an engraved Fork, engraved pie plate, and a pair of Currex insoles. We will also have awards for the Top Age Group winners 13-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, 81 - 90.

We will have a Top Male and Female Winner who will receive a Custom Pie Plate and an engraved fork. Pie Mile Relay team that wins will receive an exciting prize for each team member of the winning team.
