12th Annual Run Back to School 5K, 1 Mile Race & Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Healthy bodies support healthy minds! Grab your running shoes, family and friends, and participate in an invigorating, safe, and family friendly run in the Latimer Lane School district. All proceeds go directly back to the school and its students and provide enhancements to the Latimer Lane Physical Education Program. Previous race proceeds have purchased a Gaga Pit, sleds, a map for the primary playground, a basketball hoop, a climbing tower, and balls for each of the classes (to name a few).

Mark your calendars! On September 28, 2025, the Latimer Lane School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) will host the 11th annual Run Back to School 5K, 1 Mile, & Fun Run. The mission of this community wide event is to encourage a healthy lifestyle and provide students of all abilities with the opportunity to experience running and the benefits it can bring to their life.

• Registration Starts: 9:00 AM
• Fun Run Start Time: 9:30 AM
• 1 Mile Race Start Time: 10:00 AM
• 5K Race Start Time: 10:30 AM

🏅 Fun Run Details

Calling all kids!! The fun run course is back, and we've got lots planned this year.

• T-shirt Eligibility: All participants that register by 9/1/25 at 3pm will receive a t-shirt. There is an option to buy additional T-shirts during checkout process.

🏃‍♀️ 5K Race Details

Start time is 10:30 at the top of the hill, at the intersection of Latimer Lane Road and Valley View Road. Same course as last year which will be clearly marked.

• T-shirt Eligibility: All participants that register by 9/1/2025 at 3pm will receive a t-shirt. There is an option to buy additional T-shirts during checkout process.

🏃 1 Mile Race Details

Not quite ready to run a 3.1? We've got you covered with our new 1 mile run! Start time is 10am. The 1 mile course will be clearly marked.

• T-shirt Eligibility: All participants that register by 9/1/2025 at 3pm will receive a t-shirt. There is an option to buy additional T-shirts during checkout process.

Want to buy a t-shirt (or many t-shirts!) without registering for an event? Looking to buy more cool t-shirts? This year you have the option to purchase t-shirts without registering for an event. Make sure to place your order by 9/1/25 at 3pm. Check it out in the Store tab!
