6th Annual South Gulf Cove CCT Furry Scurry 5K (Feb. 21st 2026 8am)

🐾 Welcome to the Race

The Conservancy and Community Trust of South Gulf Cove would like to welcome you to our 6th Annual South Gulf Cove CCT Furry Scurry 5K Walk/Run. All ages are welcome to join us for this Dog-Friendly Walk/Run in the South Gulf Cove Community.

🏁 Event Details

• Date: February 21st, 2026
• Time: 8:00 AM start for Runners
• Location: 14859 Ingraham Blvd, South Gulf Cove, Port Charlotte, FL
• Course: A special 1.5-mile course for Dog Walkers

🐶 Beneficiaries

We are excited to be able to put on this Chip Timed event to benefit our local Animal Shelters and Rescues. The proceeds will be donated to the following:

• Englewood Animal Shelter: EARS
• Suncoast Humane Society: Englewood
• The German Shepherd Rescue: Punta Gorda
• The Labrador Retriever Rescue: Florida

🌭 Post-Race Celebration

We will be grilling up some free hotdogs and supplying some brews after this event to celebrate all the participants. There will be raffles and silent auctions with some great prizes, so bring some extra cash.

• Virtual Option: Available for those outside the area
• Refund Policy: No refunds as this is a fundraiser

📅 Packet Pick-Up

• Race Morning: Starting at 6:30 AM
• Early Pick-Up: Friday 2/20 from 5-8 PM
• Location: 14859 Ingraham Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL
• Parking: Please arrive early: runners will be on the course

🏅 Awards and Registration

Event Information: 5K Chip timed Walk/Run—includes a race t-shirt, custom chipped bib, participation medal, and awards for the top 3 in all categories. Awards include:

• M/F Overall Awards: Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters, Veteran Grandmasters
• Age Groups: 9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, etc. up to 80+
• Registration Fees:
  • $30.00 before Nov. 30th
  • $35.00 before Jan. 4th
  • $40.00 after Jan. 4th

🎖️ Mutt Strut and Virtual Event

1.5 Mile Mutt Strut—includes a race t-shirt and finisher medal.

• $25.00 before Jan. 4th
• $30.00 after Jan. 4th

5k Discount for Running Clubs and Children under 18: $5.00 off. Virtual Event: This event is done at your leisure. We will mail a finisher medal and t-shirt for those who sign up.
