First Horizon Family Run for Prevention

Event Overview

The Run for Prevention is a chipped and timed 5K Family Run and Walk that is suitable for all ages and abilities. Run will be held at beautiful Babcock Ranch. Bring your family and friends, form a team, and support an extraordinary non-profit. Our course is stroller and pet friendly.

Date and Location

• Date: January 30, 2027
• Time: Run begins at 8:00 a.m.
• Location: Babcock Ranch, Babcock Ranch, FL

Packet Pickup

• Pre-Race Pickup: January 29, 2027 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fleet Feet at the Bell Tower in Fort Myers.
• Race Day Pickup: 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at Founder’s Square, Babcock Ranch.
• Parking: Park near CycleBar or Burntwood Tavern and enter through the corridor.
• Store Location: The store will be straight ahead upon entering.

Registration Details

• T-Shirts: For the first 300 registrants.
• Team Discount: Team members receive a $5.00 discount.
• Size Availability: T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed.
• Policy: This event will be held "rain or shine" with no refunds.

Timing and Awards

• Timing Services: Chipping and Timing Services provided by BEACH BUM TIMING.
• Awards Ceremony: Awards will follow the end of the Run.
• Awards Categories: First Place Male and Female.
• Age Group Awards: 3 deep, in the following age groups: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71 and Up.

Support and Donations

All proceeds from Run for Prevention support Drug House Odyssey, our Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Prevention Clubs and drug and alcohol abuse prevention in Lee County. Drug Free Lee is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
