First Horizon Family Run for Prevention at Jaycee Park

Race Overview

The Run for Prevention is a chipped and timed 5K Family Run and Walk that is suitable for all ages and abilities. Run will be held at beautiful Jaycee Park in Cape Coral. Bring your family and friends, form a team, and support an extraordinary non-profit. Our course is stroller and pet friendly.

Team Competition

• Team Prize: The largest team will win the JOSH TROPHY and bragging rights for the year!

Race Details

• Date & Time: The Run begins at 8:00 a.m. on January 30, 2027.
• Packet Pickup: Pre-Race Packet Pickup is January 29, 2027, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fleet Feet at the Bell Tower in Fort Myers.
• Race Day Pickup: Race day packet pickup is from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., at Jaycee Park.
• T-Shirts: T Shirts for the first 300 registrants. Team members receive a $5.00 discount. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed.

Event Policy

• Weather: This event will be held "rain or shine" with no refunds.
• Chipping and Timing: Services provided by BEACH BUM TIMING

Awards

Awards will follow the end of the Run. Awards will be given to male and female:

• Overall Winner: First Place Male and Female
• Age Groups: Awards to male and female, 3 deep, in the following age groups: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71 and Up

Beneficiary

All proceeds from Run for Prevention support Drug House Odyssey, our Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Prevention Clubs and drug and alcohol abuse prevention in Lee County. Drug Free Lee is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
