Herndon Turkey Trot 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Organizer: Herndon Parks and Recreation is hosting the annual Turkey Trot 5K at the Herndon Community Center.
• Date and Time: The race will begin at 4:00pm on November 22.
• Packet Pick-up: Registration will run from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, November 21 and from 1:30-3:30pm on Saturday, November 22.
• Registration Fees: $45 for adults 21 & up, $30 for youth 20 & under.

👕 Race T-Shirts

• Guaranteed Shirts: Long sleeve race T-shirts guaranteed to the first 450 pre-registered runners.
• Pick-up: T-shirts must be picked up the day of the race. Shirts will not be available after race day.

🥇 Prizes

• Age Group Prizes: Prizes to 1st and 2nd place winners in various age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over.
• Overall Winners: A top prize including a turkey will be given to the overall male and female winners.

🍺 Post-Race Refreshments

• Beer Token: Registered runners 21+ years old will receive a token beer following the completion of the race courtesy of Aslin Beer Company.

📝 Registration Information

• Online Registration: Available at herndon-va.gov and active.com and ends at 12:00pm on Friday, November 21.
• Pre-registration: Adults - (Age 21 & Over) $40 and a can of food for donation, Youth - (Age 20 & Under) $25 and a can of food for donation.
• Race Day Registration: Adults - (Age 21 & Over) $45 and a can of food for donation, Youth - (Age 20 & Under) $30 and a can of food for donation.
• Food Donation: All food donations will be given to LINK.

🚫 Race Guidelines

• Prohibited Items: Strollers, bikes and dogs are not permitted in the race.
• Time Limit: All runners must finish 5K in 45 minutes.

📍 Event Details and Schedule

• Parking: Please arrive early as our parking lot fills at the Herndon Community Center (814 Ferndale Avenue, Herndon, VA 20170).
• Course: The course is a mixture of trail and street running so please wear appropriate footwear.
