Monroe County YMCA Corporate Challenge

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

This annual community event is made up of the following 30+ events running from September 2th through the 13th. The team events are in green and those have to be turned in on 8/26. All other events are walk-up events. Sign up for any and all events you might want to try so we can create calendar reminders for you to attend those events. Many are available on more than one day.

• Archery: (individual event but if we have enough it also gets scored as a team)
• Axe Throwing: Open to all participants.
• Baserunning: Test your speed on the bases.
• Baseball Pitching: Show your pitching skills.

• Basketball Shootout: Compete for the best score.
• Bench Press: Measure your strength.
• Individual Cornhole: Show your tossing skills.
• Cornhole Team: Compete as a group.

• CEO Boat Race: Team of 5 including 1 pilot.
• Bowling: Teams of 4 and must have at least 1 female.
• Chipping Contest: Test your short game.
• Cycling: Ride at your own pace.

• Darts: Aim for the bullseye.
• Dave & Buster's Night: Join in on fun games!
• Disc Golf: A fun twist on traditional golf.
• Free Throw Contest: See who has the best aim.

• Obstacle Course: Brave the challenges ahead.
• Par 3 Golf: Teams of 4 but can be played any time during the games.
• Participation Walk: Engage with fellow participants.
• Pickleball: Teams of 2 compete for victory.

• Punt Pass Kick: Show your football skills.
• Quarterback Challenge: Test your throwing ability.
• Quiz Bowl: Teams of 4 compete for trivia supremacy.
• Rowing: Join for a water-based challenge.

• Rubik's Cube Challenge: Solve under pressure.
• Soccer Ball Juggling: Show off your foot skills.
• Soccer Shootout: Compete for the best score.
• Tennis Serving: Ace the competition.

• Table Tennis: Individual bracketed event.
• Broad Jump: Go the distance!
• Shot Put: Show your strength.
• 100 Meters: Speed race for all.

• 400 Meters: Sprint it out!
• Volleyball: Teams of 6 with 2 females on the court at all times.
• 18 Hole Golf: Teams of 4 get ready to play.
• 5K Run/Walk: Join in for an exciting race.

📊 Scoring Details

Individual Event Scoring: 20 - 1st: 15 - 2nd: 10 - 3rd: 5 - 4th place with each participant getting 2 points.

Team Event Scoring: 40 - 1st: 30 - 2nd: 20 - 3rd: 10 - 4th place with each participant getting 2 points. (Double points for CEO Boat race)

🏢 Company Points System

Companies accumulate points for their organization with team scores being kept for each team.

Note: Individual events are broken up into decade age groups, so you are winning points against people in the same decade as yourself. The key to "winning" the challenge is to have at least 4 people in each event in each age group and in each gender so there are tons of possible points if we fill all of those boxes.
