Friends of CAC is hosting its Second Annual 5K Charity run on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Leroy Oaks Forest Preserve!

🏆 About the Friends of Child Advocacy Center

The Friends of Child Advocacy Center is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization that provides essential services, such as counseling and other support to the hundreds of child abuse victims that pass through the doors of the Kane County Child Advocacy Center (CAC).

• Significant Impact: Last year alone, the CAC investigated 424 reports alleging abuse to children in Kane County and provided services to approximately 1,000 children!
• Community Support: Your participation and contributions will not only help continue our vital work but also raise public awareness on the prevention of child abuse.
• All Proceeds Go To: Supporting the child victims of sexual and extreme physical abuse in Kane County.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family-Friendly Event

The Friends of Child Advocacy 5K Family Fun Run/Walk is a family event and welcomes participants including runners, walkers, wheelchair users, and individuals with baby strollers. All are invited to attend and participate!

• Safety First: Underage children must have an adult available with them at all times.
• Early Registration: Register early to secure your Friends of Child Advocacy 5K T-Shirt!
• Team Participation: You can participate individually or create a team with colleagues, friends, or family.

Chip Timed 5K Run/Walk:

• 8:00 AM: Check In, Packet Pick Up and Race Day Registration Opens
• 8:45 AM: Opening Remarks
• 9:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk Starts
• 10:30 AM: AWARDS
• 10:45 AM: CLOSING REMARKS

Note: Secure your size guaranteed by registering by October 1, 2025. For those registering after the deadline, t-shirts in your size may be subject to availability.
