About Moreland Hills

• Green Spaces: Home to pristine areas including the 142-acre Forest Ridge Preserve and Lang Pavilion.
• Historical Sites: Features Cleveland Metroparks South Chagrin Reservation and U.S. President James A. Garfield’s cabin.
• Funding: Registration fees benefit the non-profit Moreland Hills Parks Commission.
• Community Impact: Funds support park improvements and maintenance for local parks.

Event Activities

• 5K Run: Scenic and challenging route through the valley.
• 1.5 Mile Hike: Self-guided or naturalist-guided experience through Forest Ridge Preserve.
• Prizes: Custom tote bags and opportunities to win overall and age group prizes.
• Food & Activities: Coffee and breakfast from Stevie Bean mobile truck, plus free kids' activities.

Health and Support

• On-site Care: Provided by NovaCare Rehabilitation for injury prevention and recovery.
• Warm-Ups: Pre-event warm-ups and taping available.
• Post-Race Recovery: Treatments offered to assess and manage aches and pains.
• Accessibility: Welcomes participants of all fitness levels.

Start Times

• 8:00 am: Runner/Hiker registration and packet pickup
• 8:15 am: Coffee and breakfast available from Stevie Bean!
• 9:00 am: Start of 5K run, 1.5 mile hike, and kids activities
• 10:00 am: 5K awards announcement

• 5K Run: $25.00 (Kids 6-15: $15.00)
• 1.5 Mile Hike: $25.00 (Kids ages 6-15: $15.00)
• Others: No registration required (donations appreciated)
• Kids: Free for ages 5 and under (giveaway not included)

• 5K Run: Top Overall Male & Female - $75 Fleet Feet gift cards.
• Second Place: $50 Fleet Feet gift cards for 2nd Overall Male & Female.
• Age Groups: Awards for top 3 Male and Female in each age group.
• Age Groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over.

• Option: Guided hike with local naturalists for educational insights.
