Established in 2022, Willow Spring High School is BACK with its Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5k Run!
📍 Race Details
- Date: 2025-11-27
- Location: 1704 Old Honeycutt Rd., Fuquay Varina, NC
- Course: USATF-certified 5K starting and ending on the track, including a loop around campus and the Park-Depot Greenway Trail.
- Kids Events: Kids Fun Run (9 and under) and Diaper Dash (4 and under) on the school track.
🏅 Competitive Race
- Eligibility: Open to runners who can finish within 30 minutes.
- Awards: Overall awards for the top 3 and age group awards for the top two.
- Bonus: Course record holder receives a free entry!
- Award Ceremony: Awards will be given following the competitive 5K.
👪 Fun Family 5K
- Participants: Walkers, runners, and strollers are welcome (no pets).
- Costume Contest: Dress in your most fun Thanksgiving costume for a chance to win a trophy!
- Photos: Get your picture taken during the race and share on Social Media.
- Medals: All participants will receive a medal at the end of their race.
👕 Registration Information
- Deadline: Sign up before October 24th for a t-shirt: registrations after may not guarantee a t-shirt.
- Open Event: This event is open to ANY and EVERYONE!
- Proceeds: Benefits the school's Cross Country Teams, Track Teams, and Sports Boosters.
