RICHLAND RUNFEST 2026 is presented by 3 Rivers Road Runners (3RRR)
🏅 Distances
Race options: Half Marathon, 10K and 5K (both in person and virtual options)
Medals: There will be a medal for each race (and they will fit together to make one big medal if you do all 3!!!)
Registration flexibility: You can register for one in person option and then the other distances virtually or all 3 races virtually to obtain all three medals that will fit together to make one cool medal.
Discounts: Did I mention--Do all 3 races and you get 3 medals that go together to get one big medal--you have 3 weeks to complete the virtual options PRIOR to the in person race date and 1 week AFTER the in person race date and you get a discount.

In Person Race: Saturday, February 28, 2026
Virtual Race Window: Friday, February 6, 2026 to Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
⏰ Race Times
Half Marathon: will start at 8:30am
10K and 5K: will start at 8:45am
Race closure: ALL race courses close at 12:30 PM.

Training Plans: This year we have a running group and training plan (both beginner and intermediate/advanced) for ALL distances: the half marathon, 10K and 5K. See Facebook for details or see the running group and training plan section.
📝 Registration Details
Registration cutoff: Online registration ends WHEN THE RACES FILL UP (if they don't fill up there will be race day signup), FOR VIRTUAL RACES on Wednesday, February 6, at 8 PM.
Entry fees include: finisher medal, lightweight hoodie pullover shirt (for the half marathon only, 10K and 5K can purchase for additional cost), finish line treats (for the in person races), and a surprise gift.
Shirt availability: Shirts are only available for purchase by 10K and 5K runners and guaranteed for half marathon runners registered by 2/6/2026.
Discount for all races: There will be a $25 discount if you (same person) register for all 3 races.
📦 Packet Pickup
Date: Packet Pickup will be on Friday February 22, 2026 from 3:30-6 pm.
Location: The Lodge at Columbia Point, 530 Columbia Point Drive, Richland, WA 99352
Race Day Pickup: Packet Pickup will be on race morning from 7:30-8:15 am ONLY for those coming from out of town.
Virtual packets: For the virtual races, you MUST pick up your goodies at Packet Pickup or choose the shipping option to have them mailed.
🏁 In Person Race Setup
Timing: Timing will be by chip with mats at the start and finish.
Finisher medals: Every Finisher will receive a finisher medal that fits together with all 3 race medals.
Aid stations: There will be three aid stations along the course, with one around each of the specified mile markers.
Course: The course will be about the same as last year so check out the course maps below: it is not a flat course.

🏃♂️ Running Group and Training Plan
Training plans: Jen Comfort of Coaching is writing our training plans for all distances.
Meeting: The running group will be meeting on Saturday mornings at 6:45 am at the Wake Up Call Coffee.
All levels welcome: We encourage experienced runners to help mentor new runners.
Details: The training plan is posted on our website and the Facebook page.
🏆 Awards
Eligibility: ONLY FOR THE IN PERSON RACES (virtual has no awards).
Awards table: There will be an awards table to pick up your award at the race finish line.
Top finishers: OVERALL top three female and male finishers for each distance.
Age Group Awards: Awards will be given across a range of age groups.
🥤 Finish Line
Health guidelines: We will be following all health department and WA guidelines to ensure a safe in person race.
Post-race refreshments: There will be bottled water and prepackaged foods for all finishers.
Coffee truck: Last year we had a coffee truck and hope to have the same this year.
