45th Mayfaire 5k | Lakeland, FL | RRCA Florida State 5k Championship

🎉 Welcome to the Mayfaire 5k!

This race is held by the Lakeland Runners Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote running and fitness for people of all ages and abilities in the community.

• Location: 215 S Lake Ave, Lakeland, FL
• Date: 2025-05-10
• Course: Celebrating 45 years of the Mayfaire 5k Road Race and Walk with a route through residential streets and the historic Lake Morton district.
• Championship: This is the 2024 RRCA Florida State 5k Championship. Special awards will be given to various age categories.

📅 Important Dates

• Apr. 19: Last date to register to guarantee shirt selection.
• Apr. 26: Price increase from $35.00 to $45.00.
• May 7: Online registration closes at 11:59 PM.
• May 10: Walk Up registration opens at 4:00 PM, $45.00 cash or credit.

🕖 Race Start

The race starts at 7:00 PM on Main Street near the Amtrak train station.

📝 Registration

Online registration is available through Tuesday, May 7. The online system will close and will reopen for onsite registration (cash or card) during packet pickup on Friday, May 10, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and again on Saturday, May 11 from 5:00 to 6:45 PM.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Friday: May 10, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cleveland Heights Golf Course Clubhouse.
• Saturday: May 11, from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at Lake Mirror Center.

🗺️ Course Map

The course passes by Lake Mirror before heading downhill and around Lake Morton, then proceeds to an out-and-back up and over Success Ave before returning to Lake Morton. Runners climb Iowa Ave before descending to the finish on the Lake Mirror Promenade. SEE MAP UNDER RACE INFO

🏆 Results & Awards

You can find results on our Lakeland Runners Club website. Awards will be presented after the final finisher, ~ 8:30 PM on the Promenade.

🦺 Safety

For everyone’s safety – NO dogs, bicycles, roller skates, or in-line skates will be allowed on the course. The use of headphones is discouraged. Strollers need to stay at the back of the race.

💰 Refund Policy

If the Lakeland Runners Club needs to cancel the race, participants will be refunded their race entry fee. If you can’t attend the race, please initiate a registration transfer instead of just giving your bib to someone else. You may transfer your registration to another runner under Manage Your Registration until one week before the race.

📜 Race History

The first Mayfaire 5k was held on May 10, 1980. There were 64 entrants, and the winner was Mike Wachholz of Jacksonville, FL who finished in 14:00.
