Event Overview

Join the Southern Virginia University (SVU) community for the Annual Knight Run during Homecoming weekend.

Event Schedule

• 8:00 AM: Volunteer & Staff Check-in and Briefing
• 8:30 AM: Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
• 9:15 AM: 5k Participants to the Starting Line / Welcome Remarks / National Anthem
• 9:30 AM: Knight Run 5k Starts

Post-Race Celebration

The festivities kick off with the race, followed by a post-race celebration. There will be food trucks, music, and family activities for all to enjoy.

• 10:30 AM: Knights and Training Obstacle Course (for kids 3-10 years)
• 10:45 AM: Post-Race Awards Ceremony (Top Finishers, Age Groups, etc.)
• 10:30-1:00 PM: Alumni Tailgate with food trucks, live music, and yard games.

Costume Contest

COSTUME CONTEST! Including:

• Fastest: Fastest person wearing a costume
• Best Group: Best group costume
• Scariest: Scariest costume
• Most Creative: Most creative costume
• Funniest: Funniest costume
• School Spirit: Best school spirit costume
• Best Dressed: Best dressed
• Best Dressed Kid: Best Dressed Kid

Pricing

Early Bird Pricing (ends September 30) = $30 (receive a foam sword to "CHAAAAARGE!" with in the race)
Pricing after = $35

Awards

Awards for:

• Overall: 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall
• Men: 1st, 2nd, 3rd men
• Women: 1st, 2nd, 3rd women
• Junior Knights: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Junior Knights (under 10)
