It’s time to suit up and choose your side—cape or cloak, superhero or Jedi, Rebel or Resistance. Whether you're flying solo like the Millennium Falcon or bringing your whole crew of defenders, this high-energy, family-friendly event benefits CASA of Central Virginia and supports our mission to advocate for children in foster care.

From the swiftest runners in the galaxy to our legendary Couch Crusaders, there's a place in this adventure for everyone.

5K Run: Lightspeed Heroes

• Professionally timed: For those with the speed of The Flash and the focus of a Jedi.
• Features: Runners will receive a race shirt (or cape), swag bag, and finisher medal.
• Start time: May the Force be with you as you take off at 10:00 AM from the Percival’s Island Trail launchpad in downtown Lynchburg.
• Note: Start time is slightly later to account for early morning frost on the bridge.

5K Walk: Jedi Pathfinders

• Perfect pace: Prefer to take your mission at a more mindful pace.
• Includes: You'll receive a shirt or cape, swag bag, and finisher medal, and your time will be officially recorded.
• Start time: 10:05 AM.
• Non-competitive: This is a non-competitive walk through the galaxy with no age group awards.

Kids 1 Mile Fun Run: Younglings in Training

• Eligibility: Calling all Padawans (ages 12 and under)! Your mission: complete the 1-mile course and earn your cape and finisher medal.
• Untimed event: The fun run is untimed and begins at 11:45 AM from Percival’s Island Trail.
• Wave 1: Younglings (Ages 12 years old & under), Adults are not allowed to run with their child in Wave 1.
• Race cap: The combined race cap for the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run is 250. Sign up early to secure your spot in the Jedi Academy!

• Support from home: Would you rather support the cause from the comfort of your own Death Star?
