2025 NIA Jingle Bell Run - 37th Annual

🎉 Welcome to the 37th Annual NIA Jingle Bell Run

Join us on Saturday, Dec 6th as the Nichols Improvement Association presents the 37th edition of our holiday classic. The NIA Jingle Bell Run takes place on a scenic, rolling hill 5K course through the heart of the Nichols community. Walkers are welcome to participate as well. For our younger runners, we will have our JBR Fun Run prior to the 5k! Our costume contest and a special visit from Santa will elevate the holiday festivities!

👟 Important Information

• Dress Code: PLEASE COME DRESSED TO RUN - There are no indoor changing facilities!
• Virtual Participation: For those of you who want to avoid crowds, you can participate virtually in our "DIY-JBR". This allows the spirit of this community event to live throughout the month of December. Participants will have until Sunday 12/7 to complete their run. You can run the Official JBR course (see course link below) or, if you prefer, you can run a different 5k course.
• Results: Once you are done, you will be able to upload your times into our results database. Please note, virtual participants are not eligible for awards.

💰 Event Fees

• 5K Adults (19 YRS & OLDER): $30 before 11/18, $35 11/18-12/1, $38 12/2-12/7
• 5K Youth (18 & YOUNGER): $20 before 11/18, $25 11/18-12/7 (no coupon codes for this age group).
• Health Walk (UNTIMED): $25 before 11/18, $30 11/18-12/7
• Jr. Kids Fun Run: FREE! (Recommended for 9yrs & under)

📅 Bib & Shirt Pickup Schedule

NIA Starkweather House - 1773 Huntington Turnpike (across from the Nichols United Methodist Church)

• Thursday 12/5: 5:00pm - 8:30pm
• Friday 12/6: 3:30pm - 8:30pm
• Saturday 12/7: 7:30am - 9:30am
• Note: YES, you can pick up for other people!

🚗 Event Parking

Volunteers will be on site to direct you towards available parking areas.

🏁 Race Day Schedule

Nichols United Methodist Church - 35 Shelton Road

• 8:45am - JBR Junior participants - meet at the 5k finish line & walk up to the Nichols Fire Station with volunteers.
• 9:00am - JBR Junior assemble in front of firehouse
• 9:05am - JBR Junior starts (recommended Ages 9 & under)
• 9:20am - All 5k Runners & 2 mi Walkers assemble at the same start line: announcements & Anthem.
• 9:30am - 5K & health walk start together.
• 10:15am - Awards presentation for the TOP THREE MALE AND FEMALE CHAMPIONS.

Fleet Feet Awards - all participants in the TIMED 5k are eligible to win

• The TOP THREE Male & Female Champions will win:
• First Place - $125 gift cards from Fleet Feet plus a Kane Footwear prize package.
• Second Place - $75 gift cards from Fleet Feet
• Third Place - $50 gift cards from Fleet Feet
