            This verse perfectly ties our race, our mission trip, and the gospel into one powerful theme.

 

The Steadman Baptist Church ‘Love in Motion 5K’ is more than just a race—it's a celebration of community, faith, and healthy living. Please join us for this 5K, which will draw together church members, local residents, and visitors for a day of fellowship, encouragement, and physical activity. 

The Steadman Baptist Church ‘Love in Motion 5K’ is designed to be accessible for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.  The 5K route winds through Steadman, AL and ends at the church grounds, where refreshments and post-race festivities await.  The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will also take advantage of the surrounding area.

 

Location: Start and finish lines at Steadman Baptist Church parking lot.

Participants: Open to church members, their families, and the broader community.

Registration: Both online and in-person options. Early registration discounts are available, so sign up EARLY and $AVE!!

REGULAR REGISTRATION / RACE DAY REGISTRATION FEE:    (PLEASE NOTE: T-shirt Cannot be Guaranteed).

• $40 -- 1 Mile Run/Walk

 

Warm-Up Activities: There will be an organized group-stretch and prayer led by church leaders to set a positive, unifying tone.

Course Monitors: Volunteers will be at key intersections for safety and to cheer runners on.

Water Stations: At least two stations—one at the 1mile and one at the finish line.

Medical Support: Have a designated first aid team on site and a plan for emergencies.

Photography: Assign volunteers to capture moments along the route and during the awards ceremony.

Child-care: Church staff volunteers will watch kids on playground during the race if provided child registration form filled out.

Post-Race Activities & Refreshments: Water, fruit, granola bars, and other healthy snacks

Awards Ceremony: Recognize overall winners, age group finishers, and special achievements such as 'Most Spirited Runner' or 'Best Costume.'

5K AWARDS:

Top 3 Overall (Male & Female)
Top Master  (Male & Female)
Top 3 in each of the following Age Categories (Male & Female):
       14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over

NOTE: There are no awards for the '1 Mile'...it's just for FUN!

 

Fellowship:  After the race, stick around and take advantage of the opportunities for mingling and connection, including prayer and testimonials about what the race means to the community.

Professional Timing: The race will be electronically-timed by Wire2WireRunning, a professional timing company using the same MyLaps equipment the Atlanta Track Club uses for the Peachtree Road Race.

Community Impact: This event fosters unity, encourages physical health, and raises funds for meaningful causes.

Inclusivity: Participation from all ages and fitness levels makes the race feel welcoming.

Consider adding a 1-mile fun walk for those unable to complete a full 5K or track around the church.

•   7:00 a.m. — Volunteer check-in and setup
•   8:00 a.m. — Registration opens
•   8:45 a.m. — Warm-up and group prayer
•   9:00 a.m. — 5K 
• 10:00 a.m. — 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
• 10:15 a.m. — Awards and fellowship
