Proceeds to Benefit EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute
Every day men and women at EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute grind it out to get a second chance after incarceration. Compete in our 10th annual EDWINS Run for Re-Entry, to show returning citizens that you support their right to fair and equal futures.
CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE
- Mile Fun Run or Walk: Tour the neighborhood around EDWINS with this beginner road course. This mile course plays it safe sticking to neighborhood sidewalks. Stroller and family-friendly!
- Trail Run Grind: Can you handle the toughest race in Ohio? This race starts and ends at the new EDWINS location in Cleveland Heights with a course unlike any other. Off-road. Through the water. Uphill. Through rocky, unbalanced terrain.
- Course Details: Participants will experience a small amount of road running, but most of this course is a trail run that includes water crossings and steep skinny trails through Doan Creek.
- Course Awareness: Both courses utilize public sidewalks and paths open to the public. There are also driveways and cars, so please be aware of your surroundings. Know the course before you arrive.
Awards
- Top Finishers: Awarded to the top 3 men and top 3 women in each age group.
- Age Groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
Race Day
- Packet Pick-Up: Begins at 9 AM until your time slot at EDWINS Restaurant, 12383 Cedar Road, Cleveland Heights.
- Distance: 5k Run (chip-timed), 1 Mile Walk (untimed).
- Registration: Pre-Registration: Run $30 – 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk $20.
- Late Registration: (after 9 AM on Thursday, October 17) 5K Run $35 – 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk $25.

- Mailed Entries: Must be received by Wednesday, October 16. Make Checks Payable to Hermes Sports & Events.

Additional Information
- Shirts: Shirts guaranteed for pre-registered runners. Subject to availability on race day.
