Strawberry Sprint 5K and Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us on April 4, 2026 for the Thorsby Strawberry Sprint 5K, part of the town’s beloved annual Strawberry Fest celebration! This fast, out-and-back course begins at the intersection or Franklin Street and Alabama Ave, near Thorsby High School and follows County Road 37 South, passing open fields, charming historic homes, and even a historic cemetery. The route features a gentle incline on the return, making it a perfect course for personal bests.

🎉 Event Details

• Check-In Location: The Check-In tent will be set up at Richard Wood Park.
• 5K Start Time: The morning kicks off with the 5K at 8:00 a.m., open to runners, walkers, and even leashed furry friends.
• Kids Fun Run: Kids can join the Fun Run inside Richard Wood Park, beginning at approximately 9:00 a.m.
• Chip Timing: The 5K race will use official chip timers.

🏅 Awards and Prizes

• T-Shirts: 5K Runners will receive a tshirt.
• Awards Ceremony: Awards will be presented following the Kids Fun Run to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K.
• Finisher Medals: Kids Fun Runners will receive a finisher medal.
• Support Local Athletes: All profits from the event go to support the Jemison High School Cross Country Team.

📅 Important Dates

• Registration Deadline: The last day to register to race is April 2, 2026.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: The last day to register for a guaranteed tshirt is Wednesday, March 4.
• Donations: We are accepting donations if you would like to support the team but are unable to attend the 5K or Kids Fun Run.
