8th Annual Forging Families 5K/10K and 1 Mile Fun Run

Want to start the new year out on the right foot?  Then the Forging Families 5K/10K and 1 Mile is for you!  This race offers a flat(ish), fast USATF-certified course for the 5K and 10K and chip timing.  It's a great way to begin the new year focusing on a healthy you and helping an Alabama family bring a child home forever.

This event supports Sacred Selections, a not-for-profit organization that assists families in their quest to adopt a child.  It's a pretty amazing organization.  They operate with a volunteer board and minimal administrative costs.

All proceeds from this race will be donated to Sacred Selections to reduce the financial burden on a family willing to give a child a home. Funds will be sent directly to Sacred Selections to assist families in process of adoption.  In the last seven years, we have donated more than $77,000 to this cause and our event has grown each year.
