48th Annual Peru Lions Club John P. Adams Memorial Turkey Trot

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us for the 48th running of this amazing Adirondack Coast tradition! Proceeds benefit the charitable work of the Peru Lions Club.

🎽 Swag & Registration

• Turkey Trot Swag: All runners will receive Turkey Trot swag, while it lasts!
• Start Times: The 5k and the 10k start at 9am at Peru Central School!
• Bib Pickup: Bib pickup will be on race morning beginning at 7:45am.
• Weather Protection: All activities will be outside, with some weather protection provided by the bays of the Peru Central School bus garage.

🏅 Awards

Awards will be given to the top three men and top three women in the 5k and the 10k.

🗺️ Route Adjustments

• Distance Accuracy: We've made a few route adjustments to ensure a proper distance and to make our race more runner friendly. Please review the maps!
• Updated Route: Two years ago we updated the 10k route to make it a true 10k.
• Out-and-Back: We added a short out-and-back on Twin Creek Drive (off of Barney Downs Road).

🤝 Community Impact

The Peru Lions Club consists of people who represent a cross section of our community. Chartered in 1945, the Peru Lions Club continues to serve the community in a variety of ways. We live by our motto "WE SERVE" and where there is a need, you will see a Lion. A prime example are the free eye screenings we provide to incoming kindergartners, day cares, any child between the ages of 1 and 5, across upstate NY. While our main goal is to aid the visually impaired and blind, our club contributes to over 18 service projects. 100% of YOUR donation at our Turkey Trot and other fundraisers goes back to your local community.
