🏃♂️ Event Overview
The 15th Annual Spooky Sprint 5k at Catawba College Shuford Stadium in Salisbury, NC - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025! There will be a 1/2-Mile Fun Run (two laps around the track) immediately following the 5k!
🎯 Purpose of the Event
- Proceeds: Proceeds from the race will go to our youth programs, making a difference in the lives of children in our community.
- Awards: The Service Above Self Awards recognize our youth ages 5 to 18 for their service to others.
- Support: Every year, Rowan Rotary sponsors students from our local high schools to attend a leadership-training event.
- Community: Rowan Rotary Club of Rowan County is a part of Rotary International.
💰 Registration Fees
- 5K Registration Fee: $25 (mail-in through October 19 and online through October 25), $30 (on-site on October 26)
- Fun Run Registration Fee: $10
🏁 Course Information
- Course: Starts and ends on the Catawba track. See map below.
- Awards (5k): 1st overall male and female - $50 and memento.
- Medals: Given to the top 3 in each age division.
- Age Groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & above.
🏆 Awards Details
- Awards (Fun Run): 1st overall male and female - trophy. 2nd & 3rd overall male and female - medal.
- Participation: All fun run participants will receive a medal.
- T-shirts: 5k run/walk participants receive a long sleeve T-shirt.
- Check-In: 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. check-in and race packet pick up at the registration desk in Catawba College Stadium.
👻 Special Features
- Costume Contest: Contest for best costumes, children and adults, judged by a panel of Rotarians. Adult winner will receive a $50 gift card.
- Children's Prizes: Children will receive prizes for 1st and 2nd place.
⚠️ Cancellation Policy
In case of inclement weather, the race may be delayed for up to one hour or canceled if we determine existing conditions pose a safety hazard for the participants.
