About this race
Event Overview
5K Run/Walk & Half-Mile Fun Run - Rolling 5K Route & closed course through the Landis Ridge Industrial Park, Old Beatty Ford Rd, Landis.
Halloween costumes are welcome to add to the fun!
Proceeds
Event proceeds will fund China Grove Rotary's youth initiatives in southern Rowan County including:
- YMCA Programs: Youth initiatives supported
- Sports: Funding for youth sports
- Scholarships: Assistance for local students
- School Projects: Grants for educational needs
Race Details
- Start: Runners set off from the starting line on Ridgeview Street.
- Finish: Runners welcomed home at the Ridgeview Street start line.
- Fun Run: For all ages prior to the 5K.
- Awards: Will take place at the completion of the 5K.
Entry Fees
- 5K Run/Walk: $30 ($20 under age 18)
- Half-Mile Fun Run: $30 ($20 under age 18) or $10 – no t-shirt
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk: Donation of $35 w T-shirt & Mailing
- Packet Pickup: Race Day starting at 2 pm.
Awards
- Top 3 Overall: Recognizing the best performers
- Top 3 in Each Age Group Male & Female: For 5K participants
- Top 3: 8 or Under in Fun Run
- Eligibility: Walkers are eligible for age group awards!

Double Event Opportunity
Do the DOUBLE! This day (10-17-2026) is a rare Rowan County opportunity - the chance for anyone who wants to race two 5Ks in 1 Day!
- Morning: Participate in the Race to the River 5K in Spencer
- Afternoon: Join the China Grove Rotary Fall Crawl 5K
- Recognition: Top 5 Male and top 5 Female runners with the overall FASTEST combined times for both races will receive special recognition and an award following the Fall Crawl 5K!
T-shirts and Refreshments
- T-shirts: Guaranteed to all runners and walkers in 5K & Fun Run except $10 Fun Run option.
- Late Registration: T-shirt pick-up time TBD.
- Virtual Participants: May pick up t-shirt or receive t-shirt via mail after the completion of the race.
- Refreshments: Will be provided.
Parking Information
Parking: Onsite between Building 1A & 1B. Use the Armstrong Street entrance for parking.
