Collect Your Treasure! The Bucs Bounty 5K and 1mi Fun Run is excited to launch its inaugural race on Saturday, January 17, 2026! Join us for a morning of fun and fitness as we support the students and programs of FSW Collegiate High School right on the beautiful Florida Southwestern State College (FSW) campus in Punta Gorda.

The Course & Race Options

• Participation Options: We offer two great ways to participate: the 5K Run/Walk and the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk.
• Scenic Experience: The 5K course offers a truly scenic experience, winding through FSW's beautiful campus.
• Natural Features: You'll run alongside our campus lake and beneath the majestic oak trees.
• Path Composition: The path is a mix of paved roads, sidewalks, and parking lots.

Race Packet Pick Up

• Date & Time: Thurs, Jan. 15th 6-7pm at FSWC.
• Race Day Pickup: at 7am.

Competitive Details & Awards (5K Only)

• Timing Services: Professional timing services will be provided for all competitive 5K runners.
• Awards Categories: Overall Top Adult Male and Female Finisher: Overall Top Student Male and Female Finisher.
• Medals: Presented to the top two or three finishers (Male and Female) in a wide range of age and master categories.
• Age Groups: 9-under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

Wheelchair & Start Times

• Wheelchair Racers: Wheelchair racers are welcome in the 5K.
• Start Time: The 1-Mile Fun Run will start immediately after the 5K at 7:30am.

Race Swag & Finding Your Bounty!

• Race T-shirt: All participants will receive a high-quality, short-sleeve Bucs Bounty 5K race t-shirt and a numbered bib.
• Registration Deadline: Register by December 17, 2025 to guarantee your shirt!
• Costume Contest: Join our Best Buccaneer Costume Contest for a chance to win a special prize!
• Treasure Hunt: Keep your eye out for treasure! Beads will be thrown out along the route—be sure to collect your bounty along the course!

All proceeds from the Bucs Bounty 5K and 1mi Fun Run go directly to Florida South, supporting academic enrichment, student activities, and campus improvements.

About FSW Collegiate High School

As the first collegiate high school in Southwest Florida opened its doors in August of 2009, Florida SouthWestern Collegiate High School is located on the beautiful Charlotte Campus of Florida SouthWestern State College. FSWC-Charlotte is designed to provide students of all ability levels an opportunity to graduate with both a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts (AA) degree.

FSWC-Charlotte students enjoy a college environment along with a vast array of resources provided by FSW while also maintaining the traditional elements of high school life.
