Event Overview

• Purpose: Walk, Wiggle, Wag & RUN is the Cape Coral Animal Shelter’s premier family and pet friendly event!
• Goal: Together, we will raise vital funds to help the homeless, and neglected animals in our care and find them future loving and forever homes.
• Activities: The day will be filled with a Mutt Strutt around the Shelter property and a 5k Route around the neighborhood.
• Incentives: Fabulous Event shirt and swag bag for registered participants!

Details of the Event

• Types of Events: The Walk, Wiggle, Wag & RUN Event is both a Mutt Strutt and a 5K timed run.
• Fundraising: Create your pack and gather your sponsors to raise donations for CCAS!
• Awards: 5K Run event Award Placement Medals by age group and M/F category Human Runners.
• Specialty Prizes: Specialty prize baskets for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place for 5K Dog Runner Teams!

• Invitation: Join Us! Register for one or both day’s events!
• Impact: Your participation will help make an incredible difference for hundreds of animals in our community and beyond!
• Pet Friendly: PET FRIENDLY EVENT! DOGS WELCOME!
• Leash Requirements: STANDARD LEASHES ONLY - NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

Pet Guidelines

• Collar Restrictions: PRONGED/CHOKE CHAIN COLLARS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED AT THIS EVENT.
• Cleanup: PLEASE BE PREPARED TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET.

• Time: 11AM - 4:00pm
• Event Day Registration: Check In Table available on the event day.

Important Notes

• Shirt Guarantee: No Shirt Guarantee after March 6th 2026 at 12 Noon.
• Event Day Schedule:
• Runner 5K Start: 8am
• Runner Awards Presentation: 9:00am
• 1 Mile Fun Walk Start: 9:30am

• Overall Awards: based on gun time for Overall Male/Female.
• Masters Awards: Overall Masters Male/Female - 40-49.
• Grandmasters Awards: Overall Grandmasters Male/Female - 50-59.
• Senior Grandmasters: Overall Senior Grandmasters Male/Female - 60+

Age Group Awards

• Groups: MALE/FEMALE 1ST, 2ND, 3RD in various age categories.
• Categories: 10 & UNDER, 11-14, 15-19, etc.
• Furry Friend Team Runners: 1ST, 2ND & 3RD PLACE AWARD MEDAL AND PET BASKET.
• Honorable Mention: 4TH, 5TH & 6TH PLACE.
