The Shore Athletic Club presents the Asbury Park George Sheehan Classic 5K.
Date: Saturday, August 8, 2026
Location: Kingsley Street and 5th Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ
Course: Flat, fast USATF certified course finishing on the famous Asbury Park Boardwalk
Time: 7:50 AM Opening Ceremony at Bradley Park

Registration Fees
- Early Registration: $36 if you register by March 9th
- Standard Fees: $40 if you register by May 9th
- Late Registration: $46 if you register by July 31st (if space permits)
- Last Chance: $60 to register on race day, August 8th (if space permits: cap at 1,600 runners)
Kids Races
Registration:
- Early Registration: $14 if you register by March 9th
- Standard Fees: $16 if you register by July 31st
- Last Chance: $20 to register on August 1 - 9th
Suggested Distances:
- 2-4 years old: 50 meters
- 5-7 years old: 100 meters
- 8-10 years old: 200 meters
- 11+ years old: 400 meters

- Friday: 4 PM - 7 PM, Late Registration & Bib/T-Shirt Pick-up at The Outpost in Little Silver
- Saturday: 6:30 AM - 7:45 AM, Late Registration and race day bib pick-up at Bradley Park
- 7:50 AM: Opening Ceremony at Bradley Park
- 8:00 AM: 5K Run begins
- 9:00 AM: Kids races begin
- 9:15 AM: Awards ceremony - Bradley Park
Awards
- Overall Awards: Top 5 Overall Open Male and Female Win CASH Prizes
- Age Group Awards: Top 3 in each age group win custom Sheehan Classic beach towels
- Prize Money: Over $1300 for the top finishers
- Team Competition: Special awards for Winning Team(s) in each category
Friday Bib Pick Up
Location: The Outpost Running and Walking Co., 32 Church Street in Little Silver.
Time: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Join us on Friday for a free shoe raffle and other giveaways!
Race Tees
Participants will receive soft cotton tie-dye Asbury Park Sheehan Classic shirts, limited to the first 1,200 to pick up their bib/shirt!
Drink Ticket: The first 1,000 people to pick up their bibs will receive a drink ticket for The Robinson Ale House.
Charity Partner
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County.
