Back Your Badge Marathon is a premier race event sponsored by the Town of Plainfield to show support all Public Safety Agencies.
Commitment to Wellness
- Agencies Involved: Police, Fire, and Communications have all made a commitment to the health and wellness of their personnel.
- First Annual: Join us in supporting Public Safety at the First Annual Back Your Badge Marathon.
Race Details
- Distances: The race features 5k, ½ Marathon, and Full Marathon distances.
- Course Highlights: The course travels a mix of everything the town has to offer.
- Scenic Route: Run historic US 40, Plainfield Parks Trail System, and run by or through your local police station, fire station, and communications center.
Support Your Agency
- Agency Selection: You pick the agency you support, and each mile you run, or walk will be added to their running total.
- Bragging Rights: The agency with the most total miles will earn the bragging rights and traveling trophy.
Beneficiary Programs
All proceeds will directly benefit Public Safety Beneficent programs, Local Youth Assistance programs, and a Paramedic Scholarship program.
