Book It! Friends of the Waterford Library 5K Run

Event Overview

Join us Saturday, May 2, 2026, for the Book It! 5K and Fun Run/Walk in support of the Waterford Township Public Library. This family friendly event welcomes kids and pets. The 5K will feature timing with results posted online at this link.

Race Schedule

• 5K Run: Starts at 10:00 AM
• 5K Walk: Starts at 10:15 AM
• Fun Run/Walk: Starts at 10:15 AM

Entry Fee Includes

• Event T-shirt: Commemorative shirt for participants
• Finisher Medal: A medal for all finishers
• Gift Opportunities: Chance to win gifts from our sponsors
• Children's Book: Complimentary book for students

Price Discounts

• Ages 18 and under: $5 discount
• Groups of 5 or more: $5 discount for each member of the group

Registration Information

NOTE: Register by Sunday, April 19, 2026, to guarantee a t-shirt and children's book as noted above.

Onsite Registration: Closes at 9:00 AM on May 2, 2026.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up will start at 9:00 AM on race morning. Check in will be at The Warming House, 5050 Civic Center Drive, Waterford, MI 48329. On the Civic Center Campus by the pond.

Additional Activities

The event also includes an online Silent Auction of items donated by sponsors.
