- Inspiration: The race honors Dianne Sullivan Wells (Digits) and Edith Edy Pearson (Needle), beloved members of the running community.

- Continued Tradition: This event symbolizes facing challenges as a community, much like the buffalo facing storms together.
Community Impact

- Annual Donations: Proceeds for 2026 will go to Kathy Young’s family in memory of her contributions as a secretary at Rocky Creek Elementary School.
