🍻 Chicago Beer Mile Championships

The Chicago Beer Mile will take place on Friday June 6th at 721 S. Washtinaw Ave., Chicago, IL.

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Distance: One mile of fun running.
• Format: Drink a beer, then run/walk/jog your way a quarter mile, and repeat three more times.
• Alternatives: Chocolate Milk Mile and Non Alcoholic Beer Mile for those who prefer not to consume beer.
• Volunteers: Volunteers are also needed.

⏰ Schedule of Events

• 6:00 PM: Beer Mile Section 1
• 6:20 PM: Beer Half Mile
• 6:40 PM: Elite Women Beer Mile
• 7:00 PM: Elite Men Beer Mile

💰 Prize Information

• Top Prize: $500 for 1st place.
• Runner Up: $250 for 2nd place.
• Third Place: $100 for 3rd place.
• Eligibility: Must compete in the elite section to qualify for prize money: email bob@ilpreptoptiming.com to request entry.

📜 Official Rules

• Beer Consumption: Each competitor drinks four cans or bottles of beer and runs four laps around a standard 400m track.
• Drinking Zone: Beer must be consumed in the 9-meter transition area before each lap.
• Age Requirement: Every competitor MUST be over 21 years of age. Identification will be checked at packet pickup.
• Penalty Lap: Competitors who vomit must complete one penalty lap at the race's end.
