🏃♂️ BLUEBERRY STOMP
1-Mile Fun Run • 5K Race • 15K Race
Join us on Labor Day for the 51st annual Blueberry Stomp, a nonprofit race supporting our local ASK Ministries, run in conjunction with the Marshall County Blueberry Festival. The Blueberry Festival regularly draws a crowd of 200,000+ over the weekend so there are PLENTY of activities leading up to the Monday race.
🕒 START TIMES & START LINE
- Location: All athletes line up on Michigan Street near the entrance of the KFC parking lot.
- 1-Mile Fun Run: Starts at 8:00am: all participants must finish before the 8:30am start of the Stomp.
- Start Announcement: A cannon fire announces the start of the 5K & 15K Races at 8:30am.
- Safety Notice: Strollers are allowed, but ensure that children and items are secured at all times: pets are not allowed.
🏃 1-MILE FUN RUN
- Start Time: 8:00am start.
- Course: Non-competitive run/walk starts at the south edge of Centennial Park on Michigan Street. All runners and walkers have 30 minutes to complete 1 mile (out and back course).
- Finish Requirement: Must finish before 8:30am: if unfinished, you will be asked to step off the course.
- Continuation: You may finish once the 5K & 15K runners have passed.
5K Race
- Start Time: 8:30am start.
- Course: This is a beautiful out-and-back tree-lined course through residential Plymouth.
- Spectators: Nearly the entire course follows the Blueberry Parade route, viewed by approximately 50,000 spectators.
- Course Map: See course map below.
15K Race
- Start Time: 8:30am start.
- Course: Runs through downtown Plymouth and out into the beautiful countryside, following the 5K course for the first & last mile.
- Challenge: The course features rolling hills, becoming a challenge for even the best runners.
- Water Stops: Available at several locations throughout the course. See course map below.
⏱️ FINISH LINE
The finish line closes at 10:50am, allowing tear down before the course reopens to traffic at 11:00 am. All athletes who have not finished, and who wish to continue, must move to the sidewalks & follow normal traffic laws. For safety, choose the distance you can finish in the allotted time.
📝 REGISTRATION
- Method: Online registration through RunSignup is the ONLY way to register for the event.
- Assistance: Staff present at packet pick-up and on race morning can help you register online.
- Deadlines: Shirt sizes are guaranteed with pre-registration by 7/31.
- Entry Fees: 5K: $30 (by 7/31), $40 (8/1 - 9/1): 15K: $40 (by 7/31), $50 (8/1 - 9/1): 1-Mile Fun Run: $10 (with T-shirt), $5 (no T-shirt).
📦 PACKET PICK-UP
Packet pick-up is available at the Road Runner Pavilion in the SW corner of Centennial Park on Sunday, Aug 31st, from 1-4pm and on race day from 7:00-8:15am. If you wish to avoid long lines, arrive early or, grab your packet on Sunday!
🏆 Awards
- Cash Prizes: To the top 4 male & female finishers in both the 5K & 15K races.
- Age Group Awards: Top 3 finishers in each age group for both races.
- Age Groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+
✨ ELITE ATHLETES
Athletes that meet the time qualifications are welcome to apply for Elite entry, which includes complimentary race registration and, upon request, free housing.
