Mahlon Winter Donut Trail Run & Hike 5 Miler & 10 Miler

After a full course assessment yesterday, we’ve made the difficult but responsible decision to postpone the Mahlon 5 & 10 Miler.

Dan, an experienced and very tall trail runner, completed the course in 2.5 hours, which is well outside typical conditions. After conferring with Morris County Parks, we agree that postponement is the safest option for our runners, volunteers, and staff.

Your Options
Participants may choose one of the following:

1️⃣ Defer to the new date: March 21
2️⃣ Run Virtual and receive your swag by mail
3️⃣ Transfer your registration to another Live Run Give event
(Excludes the triathlon and partner races)

We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize safety and trail preservation. Mahlon will be waiting for us with better footing and maybe a surprise mud bath.

For 2026 we’re offering both 5-mile and 10-mile trail options through the scenic Mahlon Dickerson Reservation. Expect a challenging and rewarding course featuring rugged, mixed terrain that winds through some of Morris County’s most beautiful woodland trails.

Please note: this is a true trail run. Participants should feel comfortable following trail markers signage and navigating back to the course if they wander off course. This run is rain, snow, or shine.
