Tulip Trot for Parkinson’s Disease Awareness

PDEVV Hub is hosting its 4th Annual Tulip Trot for Parkinson’s Disease Awareness on April 24, 2027, at Garvin Park, 1600 N Main St. in Evansville. The timed 5k will start at 8:00 AM, and the 1-mile walk will begin at 9:00 AM. All events will occur rain or shine. A virtual option is also available for those who cannot attend in person.

Event Purpose

This event is organized to take place during Parkinson’s Awareness Month in April and is named for the tulip, the official flower of Parkinson’s disease. The Tulip Trot enables PDEVV Hub to provide people with Parkinson’s, their family members, healthcare workers, and interested individuals in our tristate area with information about PD and the local resources available.

Exhibit Tent

• Opening Time: The exhibit tent will open at 7:30 AM.
• Honoring Memory: You can fill out a sticker to walk in honor or in memory of a Parkinson’s friend or family member.
• Experience: Experience what it feels like to have Parkinson’s disease.
• Information: Stop by to pick up information about Parkinson’s disease and available local resources.

Virtual Participation

For those who prefer to participate virtually, sign up to run or walk on your own and receive a t-shirt that will be mailed out the Monday after the walk (shipping fee is $10.40).

Shirt Registration

• Deadline: Shirts will be available to those who register by April 17, 2027: otherwise, the shirt cannot be guaranteed.
• Pickup: Shirt & Bib pickup at Garvin Park on Friday, April 23, 2027, from 5-7 PM for individuals and groups.
  On Saturday, April 24, starting at 7 AM for all remaining individuals.
• Mailing: For Virtual Participants registered by April 18, shirts will be mailed on Monday, April 27.

Awards

Awards will be given for the Top 3 Males and Females in the 5K Run.
