Rotary Santa Run 5K & 1 mile Family Fun Walk & Elf kids run

2026 Special - $25 for 26 Days!

• Registration Period: July 1st - July 26th register for only $25.
• Event: Evansville Rotary’s elves are busy preparing for the Santa Run on Saturday, 12/5/2026.
• Annual Event: The 13th annual Evansville Rotary Santa Run!!
• Start Time: Join us for the 9AM for the CANNON start from Buffalo Trace Council’s Eykamp Scout Center.

Location and Course Details

• Date: Saturday morning, December 5, 2026 at 9 am.
• Start Location: Buffalo Trace Council, 3501 E Lloyd Expressway, Evansville, IN.
• 5K Course: The race will begin and travel west to Vann Ave, winding through east-side neighborhoods of Evansville.
• 1 Mile Walk: This course leads you over the pedestrian bridge and back to the start, away from the running Santas.

Santa Elf Kids Run

• Start Time: 8:30 am is the Santa Elf kids run.
• Distance Options: 50 meters to 150 meters for kids ages 1-9.
• Medals: All finishers of the kids run will receive a medal.
• Age Groups:
  • 1-3 years old - 50 meters
  • 4-6 years old - 100 meters
  • 7-9 years old - 150 meters

Awards

• Overall Awards: Fastest Male and Female will receive a trophy.
• Age Group Medals: First place male and female winners in age groups 1-9 through 80+ will receive a medal.
• Most Spirited Award: First place prizes for Families, Teams, Kids (1-9 years), Young Adults (10-18), and Adults (19+).
• Post Race Treats: Enjoy Donut Bank donut balls, apples, bananas, hot chocolate, and coffee.

Registration Details

• Registration Cost: $25 during the special period, $35 plus processing fee after December 1, 2026.
• Santa Elf Registration: Stays at $5 per child.
• Packet Pickup: Available on Friday, December 4 from 11am to 6pm or race day from 7am to 8:30am.
• Non-Refundable: All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Late & Final Registration

• Last Minute Registration: Available at the Buffalo Trace Council lobby on December 4 and December 5.
• Cost: $35 per participant, cash or check only.
• Participant Benefits: Each participant receives a Santa suit, race bib number, and registration packet.
• First 800 Registrants: Get a Santa suit to wear during the run/walk.

Race Day Information

• Weather Policy: No cancellations for inclement weather: Santa wouldn’t cancel Christmas for a little snow!
• Timing: The race will be officially timed by “To the Finish.”
• Strollers and Pets: Strollers permitted in the 5K: dogs and other pets are not allowed.
• Parking: Available at marked lots: please do not park on busy streets.
