Rotary Santa Run 5K & 1 mile Family Fun Walk & Elf kids run

2026 Special - $25 for 26 Days!

• Registration Dates: July 1st - July 26th register for only $25.
• Event Date: Evansville Rotary’s elves are busy preparing for the Santa Run on Saturday, 12/5/2026.
• Event Details: The 13th annual Evansville Rotary Santa Run!!
• Cannon Start: Join us for the 9AM for the CANNON start from Buffalo Trace Council’s Eykamp Scout Center, 3501 E. Lloyd Expressway, Evansville.

Event Highlights

• Parking: Note parking is in the near vicinity, but not available at the Eykamp Scout Center, so plan ahead.
• Course: We’ll run (or walk) through the beautiful east-side Evansville residential neighborhoods.
• Cheer Squad: You may just see friends, neighbors, Evansville’s own The Boom Squad, and Evansville Mounted Police cheering you along.
• Post-Race Treats: Stick around for award presentation while you enjoy Donut Bank donut balls, apples or bananas from Houchin Industries, and hot chocolate or coffee.

Santa Suit Contest

• Prizes: Prizes are available for the jolliest of Santa suits.
• Suit Pickup: Embellish your Santa suit you’ll pick up FRIDAY, 12/4/26 at Eykamp Scout Center, 11am-6pm or before the race Saturday.

Date and Location

• Race Details: The 5K run and 1 mile walk will be held on Saturday morning, December 5, 2026 at 9 am.
• Start Location: The 5K race will begin at the Buffalo Trace Council, 3501 E Lloyd Expressway, Evansville, IN.
• Course Layout: The course is relatively flat and travels west to Vann Ave through east-side neighborhoods of Evansville.
• 1 Mile Walk: The 1 mile course will begin at Buffalo Trace Council and lead you over the pedestrian bridge and back to the start.

Kids Run

• Start Time: Beginning at 8:30am is the Santa Elf kids run from 50 meters to 150 meters for kids ages 1-9.
• Finishers: All finishers of the kids run will receive a medal.
• Distance by Age: 1-3 years old - 50 meters, 4-6 years old - 100 meters, 7-9 years old - 150 meters.

Awards

• 5K Awards: Overall Fastest Male and Female will receive a trophy.
• Age Groups: First place male and female winners in age groups 1-9 and upwards will receive a medal.

Most Spirited Award

• Total Awards: 5 awards total for Families, Teams, Kids, Young adults, and Adults.
• Categories: First place prizes will be awarded to individuals in each category.

Registration Details

• Cost Increase: Registration costs will go up to $35 plus the processing fee after December 1, 2026.
• Kids Registration: The Santa Elf registration stays at $5 per child.

Packet Pickup Information

• Pickup Dates: Your Santa suit, race bib number and registration packets will be available to pick up on Friday, December 4 from 11am to 6pm.
• Race Day Pickup: Available at the Buffalo Trace Council from 7am to 8:30am on race day.
• Registration Form: They will not be mailed to you.

Late & Final Registration

• Final Registration: You can register at the lobby of the Buffalo Trace Council on December 4 and December 5 from 7am to 8:30am.
• Cost: The cost is $35 per participant.

Race Day Information

• Registration: Join us on Race Day in the lobby of the Buffalo Trace Council from 7 am.
• Santa Suits: The first 800 registrants get a Santa suit to wear during the run/walk.

Race Day Guidelines

• No Cancellations: The race will not be cancelled due to inclement weather.

Timing

• Official Timing: The race will be officially timed by “To the Finish.”
• Results: Results will be posted at www.tothefinishtiming.com.

Strollers and Pets

• Strollers: May be used in the 5K.
• Pets: Dogs, cats, and other animals are NOT ALLOWED in any of the races.

Parking

• Parking Locations: Parking will be available at marked lots on the Buffalo Trace Council property and the State Hospital property.
• Street Parking: Please do not park on the busy streets surrounding the Buffalo Trace Council.
