• Goal: Together, we can ensure high-quality early childhood education is accessible to all children.

Program Partner

• Partner: Evansville Trails Coalition
• Support: Nature Exploration is an educational pillar at St. Vincent.
• Programming: Thanks to your support for this event, we will be able to add/continue "Trails on a Smaller Scale" programming for toddlers and preschoolers throughout the year as capacity and time allow.

Registration and Fee(s)

• 5K Run/Walk: The fee is $30 before May 5, 2026, $35 until June 7, 2026, and $40 on or after the event day. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• 1-Mile Family Fun Walk: The fee is $15 before May 5, 2026, $20 until June 7, 2026, and $25 on or after the event day. This registration fee is for a Family of up to 5 people. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

T-Shirts

• 5K T-Shirts: All registrations for the 5K Race/Walk will receive a short-sleeved t-shirt!
• Guarantee: 5K Run registrations will be guaranteed a T-shirt on or before May 27, 2026.
• Availability: After that date, shirts and sizes are not guaranteed to be available on the event day.

Color

• Experience: Participants can experience being splashed with color. If you do not want to be "splashed," you can avoid it by staying to one side of the course.
• Fun: Our events are similar to The Color Run™ experience.
• Impact: The amount and degree of color fun depends on sponsors, volunteers, and participants.
• Environment: The color dust is non-toxic, biodegradable, and not harmful to wildlife or vegetation.

Start Time(s)

• 5K Timed Race: Begins at 8:00 am (CST)
• 5K Walk: Begins (approximately) at 8:05 am (CST)
• 1-Mile Children & Family Walk: Begins at approximately 9:15 am (CST)

Awards

• Categories: Awards will be given to 5K runners who finish in the top two males and females of their age brackets.
• Overall Awards: There will be an Overall Female and Overall Male run awards.
• Presentation: The awards presentation will be around/by 9:15 a.m. CST.
• Child Awards: For participants ages 0 - 7 in the 1-Mile Children and Family Walk, a fun, award will be available (while supplies last).

Registration Check-In

• Location: Please check in at the registration tables before the start times.
• Time: Check-in will begin at 7:00 a.m. (CDT).
• Registration: All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Proceeds: Proceeds from Splash of Color will help underwrite early childhood education programs and services at St. Vincent Early Learning Center.

Packet Pickup

• Day: Bib/Shirt pickup is at St. Vincent Early Learning Center (SVELC) on Friday, June 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CDT).
• Event Day: Bib/Shirt pickup will also be available at Garvin Park from 7:00 - 7:55 am (CDT).

Volunteer Sign Up

• Needed: We will need many volunteers to help prepare for the race and host the event.
• Sign Up: Volunteer signup is available through runsignup (LINK).

Date & Location

• Date: The Splash of Color 5K and 1-Mile will be on Saturday morning, June 13, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
• Start Location: The Race will start on Bob Griese Pass near where N. Main Street ends and goes east.
• Course: The course turns left onto Reis Ave, around the lake toward Pigeon Creek heading west.

Timing

• Service: The race will be officially timed by “To the Finish.”
• Results: Results will be posted at www.tothefinishtiming.com and on our runsignup page.

Inclement Weather

• Decision: The decision to race or not will be determined on the event day.
• No Refunds: There will be no refunds, but the purchased race shirts will be available for pickup at SVELC later.

Strollers? Dogs? Etc.?

• Strollers: May be used in the 5K Walk or 1-Mile Family Walk.
• Pets: While dogs are allowed in Garvin Park, pets are not allowed in any races.
