Event Overview

• Purpose: Get ready to run, walk, laugh, and make a difference at the Splash of Color 5K Run/Walk & 1-Mile Family Fun Walk benefiting St. Vincent Early Learning Center!
• Community Impact: Your participation helps provide high-quality early childhood education and nature-based learning experiences for children in our community.
• Goal: Together, we can ensure that every child has access to a strong start in life.

Title Sponsor Information

• Become A Sponsor: Support Splash of Color by becoming a sponsor.
• Register: Register to participate in the race.
• Team Formation: Form a team with friends, family, or coworkers.
• Volunteer: Volunteer on race day to help make the event unforgettable.

Registration

• 5K Run/Walk: $30 through May 5, 2027: $35 from May 6 – June 7, 2027: $40 beginning June 8 and on race day. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Walking Eligibility: Walkers are welcome! Please plan to complete the course within one hour.
• 1-Mile Family Fun Walk: Perfect for families of all ages! Registration includes up to five family members.
• Family Walk Fees: $15 through May 5, 2027: $20 from May 6 – June 7, 2027: $25 beginning June 8 and on race day. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Event T-Shirts

• 5K Participants: Every 5K registration includes a commemorative short-sleeve event t-shirt. Size guaranteed if registered by June 1, 2027.
• Family Walk Participants: May purchase event t-shirts, with orders guaranteed by June 1, 2027.
• Color Experience: Wear a white or light-colored shirt for the full Splash of Color experience!

The Splash of Color Experience

One of the most exciting parts of the event is being showered with vibrant color along the course! Participants who prefer to avoid most of the color can stay to one side of the route.

Color Powder Information:

• Non-toxic: All color powder used will be non-toxic.
• Biodegradable: The color powder is biodegradable.
• Safe: Safe for wildlife and vegetation.
• Environmental Care: We strive to minimize our environmental impact: cleanup will ensure nature takes care of the rest.

Event Schedule

• 7:00 a.m. Registration & Check-In Opens.
• 8:00 a.m. 5K Timed Race Begins.
• Approximately 8:05 a.m. 5K Walk Begins.
• Approximately 9:15 a.m. 1-Mile Family Fun Walk Begins.

Awards

5K Awards will be presented to the top two male and female finishers in each age division:

• Age Divisions: 8–12, 13–18, 19–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–99.
• Special Awards: Overall Male Champion and Overall Female Champion awards will be presented.

Registration Check-In

Please check in at the registration area before your event begins. Check-in opens at 7:00 a.m. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Packet Pickup

• Location: St. Vincent Early Learning Center.
• Date: Friday, June 11, 2027, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Race Day Pickup: Available from 7:00 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. near the registration area.

Race Timing

The 5K will be professionally timed by To the Finish Timing. Official results will be posted on the race website and timing website following the event.

Inclement Weather

Weather decisions will be made on race day. If severe weather requires cancellation, there will be no refunds. Event shirts will be available for pickup at St. Vincent Early Learning Center at a later date.

Strollers & Other Items

Strollers are welcome in the 5K Walk and 1-Mile Family Fun Walk. Please use caution if weather conditions are less than ideal. Additional policies regarding dogs and other wheeled devices will be announced closer to race day.

Volunteer Opportunities

Splash of Color depends on an amazing team of volunteers! Help us prepare race packets, welcome participants, distribute water, throw color, direct runners, assist with cleanup, and more. Volunteer registration will be available through RunSignup.
