5K Run/Walk & 1-Mile Family Fun Walk

Title Sponsor

• Invitation: You are invited to join Ascension St. Vincent Evansville, our title sponsor this year.
• Support: Participate as a sponsor, a participant, or a volunteer.
• Deadline: The print deadline for banners, signs, and t-shirts is Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Program Partner

• Partner: Evansville Trails Coalition
• Nature Exploration: This programming supports toddlers and preschoolers.
• Support: Thanks to your support for this event, we can add/continue programming throughout the year.

Registration and Fee(s)

• 5K Run/Walk: Fee is $30 before May 5, 2026, $35 until June 7, 2026, and $40 on event day.
• 1-Mile Family Fun Walk: Fee is $15 before May 5, $20 until June 7, and $25 on event day for a family of up to 5 people.
• Note: All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

T-Shirts

• 5K Registrations: All registrants will receive a short-sleeved t-shirt.
• Guarantee: T-shirts are guaranteed on or before May 27, 2026.
• 1-Mile Registrations: Can purchase a t-shirt on or before May 27, 2026.
• Recommendation: A white or light-colored T-shirt is advised for the "splash of color" feature.

Color

• Experience: Participants can experience being splashed with color during the event.
• Option: To avoid being splashed, stay to one side of the course.
• Eco-friendly: The color dust is non-toxic and biodegradable.
• Cleanup: Leaf blowers will be used post-event to minimize color tracking into buildings/park.

Start Time(s)

• 5K Timed Race: Begins at 8:00 am (CST).
• 5K Walk: Starts at approximately 8:05 am (CST).
• 1-Mile Family Walk: Begins at approximately 9:15 am (CST).
• Pace: Complete the race within one hour for awards.

Awards

• 5K Awards: Given to top two males and females in each age bracket.
• Overall Awards: For Overall Female and Overall Male runners.
• Presentation: Awards will be presented around 9:15 a.m. CST.
• 0-7 Awards: Fun awards available for participants ages 0-7 while supplies last.

Registration Check-In

• Location: Registration tables will be near the race start area.
• Check-In Start: Begins at 7:00 a.m. (CDT).
• Note: All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Packet Pickup

• Location: Pickup at St. Vincent Early Learning Center on June 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CDT).
• Event Day: Available at Garvin Park from 7:00 - 7:55 a.m. (CDT).

Volunteer Sign Up

• Need: Volunteers needed for various tasks like registration, water handout, etc.
• Sign Up: Available through runsignup.

Date & Location

• Date: June 13, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
• Start: Bob Griese Pass near N. Main Street.
• Course: Turns left onto Reis Ave and heads around the lake toward Pigeon Creek.
• Route: Follows the Pigeon Creek Greenway until turnaround before Stringtown Road.

Timing

• Timing: The race will be officially timed by “To the Finish.”
• Results: Posted on www.tothefinishtiming.com and runsignup page.

Inclement Weather

• Decision: Determined on event day whether to race or not due to weather.
• No Refunds: Purchased shirts available for pickup later if canceled.

Strollers? Dogs? Etc.?

• Strollers: Allowed in the 5K Walk or 1-Mile Family Walk.
• Pets: Not allowed in races, only in Garvin Park.
