Event Overview

NEW EVENT! The Homer Parade Mile.

Lead the Homer Davenport Community Festival parade! The Homer Parade Mile is Saturday morning, August 1. Runners will "lead" the parade by running the parade route through downtown Silverton, being cheered by the thousands of people lining the parade route.

• Start Point: North Water St. near Silverton Middle School
• Finish Point: Just past Roth's Fresh Market on North First St.
• Combine Events: See who is the overall mile/8k winner.

Race Options

Here are the Homer Davenport Community Festival Race options:

1 Mile Run

• Date: Saturday, August 1
• Start Time: 9:45am
• Entry Fee: $0 (ages 0-9), $5 (ages 10-12), $10 (ages 13+), $20 (family of up to 10)
• Registration: Ends at 9:15am on race day

2 Mile Run/Walk

• Date: Sunday, August 3
• Start Time: 9:00am
• Entry Fee: $20 until May 1, $25 from May 1 to July 31, $30 on race day

8k Run

• Date: Sunday, August 3
• Start Time: 9:00am
• Entry Fee: $20 until May 1, $25 from May 1 to July 31, $30 on race day

Do the Duo

• Event: 1 Mile and 8k runs
• Registration Fee: $30 until May 1, $35 from March 1 to July 31
• No Day of Race: Registration available for combined races

Additional Information

• T-shirts: $15 extra. Register before July 14 to guarantee a shirt.
• Race Packets: Available on the day of the race.
• Parking: Plenty of parking at Silverton High School, 1456 Pine St.
• No Pets: No dogs or motorized vehicles permitted.

Race Course

The 8k run features a scenic, flat and fast course running through the Historic Gallon House Bridge, the only covered bridge in Marion County.

Proceeds

The races are organized by the Silverton Runners' Club. Proceeds go to support the Silverton, Gervais, and Mt. Angel schools' track and cross country programs, scholarships for youth runners to attend running camps, and other local fitness activities.
