12th Annual Lakeland Regional Promise Run

Event Information

The 12th Annual Promise Run will take place rain or shine at the Lake Mirror Promenade in Downtown Lakeland. 121 South Lake Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33801

• Entry Fees: Non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be deferred to another runner or year.

Packet Pickup

• Date and Time: Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 6:00am-11:00am at Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children - Mulaney Auditorium.
• Second Pickup: Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the same location.
• Final Pickup: Friday, March 6, 2026 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the same location.

For Pre Race Day Packet Pick Up it’s best to park in the lots at the intersection of Lakeland Hills Blvd and Garden Street then enter the pavilion on the first level by the outside fountain/ roundabout entrance.

Registration

• Open Registration: Registration is open to the first 1,400 registrants.
• On-Site Registration: If you are unable to register for the Promise Run in advance, you may register before the race starting at 6:00am on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Registration Tent at Lake Mirror Promenade.
• Payment Methods: Cash and credit cards will all be accepted.
• Shirt Sizes: Shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed on race day.

Course

• Start and Finish: The Promise Run 10k and 5k races start and finish in downtown Lakeland.
• Course Details: The course will follow the historic streets of Lakeland as you navigate the scenic lakes.
• Certification: The Promise Run 10K and 5K are certified courses.

Fees

The earlier you register, the more you save!

• Thru February 1st: $45 - 10k Entry Fee, $36 - 5k Entry Fee
• February 2nd – March 6th: $50 - 10k Entry Fee, $40 - 5k Entry Fee
• March 7th: $55 - 10k Entry Fee, $45 - 5k Entry Fee

What is Included

• Race Packet: Each participant will receive a race packet with race bib, featuring a ChronoTrack Race Timing Tag.
• Performance Shirt: High quality performance shirt with size exchanges allowed after the 5K starts on race day ONLY.
• Finishers Medal: A finishers medal will be awarded upon completion of the race.
• Awards: Top finishers will receive an award, with post-race refreshments available.

Schedule of Events - March 7, 2026

• 6:00am: Packet Pickup and Registration + Kids Run registration
• 7:00am: 10k start
• 8:35am: 5k start
• 8:45am: 10k Awards, Kids Run will begin after the completion of the 5k
• 9:50am: 5k Awards

Kid’s Run

Join us for our Kid’s Run! It’s Free! Registration will be at the Registration Tent. Kid’s Run will start after the completion of the 5k.

• Groups: Registered children will be divided into appropriate groups and distances on race day.
• Finisher’s Ribbons: Ribbons will be waiting for each child at the Finish Line.
• Registration: Each child must be registered by a parent or guardian and wear their race number.

Parking

• Garages: Parking garages on Iowa Street and Main Street will be open and are free on the weekends.
• Closest Garage: Iowa Garage is closest to the event start and finish line.
• Availability: Several lots around the promenade are free as well. Expect 1,500+ in attendance, arrive early.

Awards

Please note: To guarantee your award, it must be picked up at the event.

10k Awards

• Overall Division: Top Three Male and Top Three Female
• Masters Division: Top Male and Top Female (Masters athletes finishing in the overall category will receive an overall award)
• Age Group Division: Top Three Male & Top Three Female in age groups 10-14, 15-19, ..., 70+

5k Awards

• Overall Division: Top Three Male and Top Three Female
• Masters Division: Top Male and Top Female (Masters athletes finishing in the overall category will receive an overall award)
• Age Group Division: Top Three Male & Top Three Female in age groups 9 and under, 10-14, ..., 70+

Shirt Sizes

Shirts will be unisex sizes XS through 3XL. Exchanging of sizes can be done at the race after the start of the 5k.

Prohibitions

Prohibited on the 5k race course are as follows:

• Bicycles
• Animals/Pets
• Skateboards
• Skates/Rollerblades

Prohibited on the 10k race course are as follows:

• All of the above
• Strollers/baby joggers/babies in carriers

Please note Stroller Policy for 5k:

• You will not need to register your child(ren), but they must stay in the stroller and can not be carried or ride on shoulders.
• All strollers must start at the back of the starting group.
• Strollers can only pass other people in the crowd, if you are walking. Please do not run with a stroller.
